I care about people coming together. Like, a lot.

Like I read books about it, I talk about it constantly, it’s what my life is centred around... nerd-level a lot.

I cry at metal shows. I have full-blown epiphanies in yoga classes. Put me in any room, or any field, where people have gathered for one thing, and I come alive 🌸

What keeps me up at night though, is how hard people find it to get people in the room right now.

Events are hard enough as it is, infrastructure costs are through the roof, everyone’s tucked behind a screen, and turning attention into actual attendance (real bodies in the field having a tiiiime) is a seriously sought-after skill.

It’s also a skill I have. Humbleeee braaag! 💅

And after a decade of helping fill very big fields, from Boomtown to Rise Festival, I know the core of that skill can be taught. Which is why I created Field Filler.

Think of it like this... you’ve been scattering seeds for ages. Posting, showing up, really hoping something takes root. Field Filler is where you actually learn about the soil: what to plant, in what season, and how to tend it, so that come opening night, the field’s actually full.

Is that analogy working!!!? I’m unsure... but surely this photo of me looking like I’m on the cover of Gardeners’ Weekly is really painting the picture??? 🌱

lots of things I want to share from lovely spring times, stunning summer times, stags, hens, weddings, a beautiful birthday, berlin, lisbon + milan but every time I try to put some together I get overwhelmed and I give up.

In a busy summer I can sometimes weirdly take for granted what a blessing it is to be doing a job where…

I can wake up to the sound of cicadas…
Swim in the most turquoise blue sea…
Have one of my bezzies as my boss…
Dance to a plethora of wonderful music for a whole week…
See in sunrises at @barbarellas.discotheque…
Miss the boat party (but still be speedboated out!)…
Work with wonderful people I’ve known for a very long time…
Eat lovely food every day…
Meet A LOT of cats…
Be in stunning nature + the sun…
+ get paid to do it?!

february feelings 💘

the month came in hot with a magical week at @piproberts__ float + ground retreat.

making new friends
lying down
attempting surfing
catching sunrises
the greatest breakkies ever at @lotussurfcamp

finishing with a very silly weekend at the cove surf jam - the best weekend in the south coast calendar

a spontaneous bop to Hiriketiya for a dance which turned into 4 night with the Mariposa crew

then…
lots of different bristol friends coming + going
fitness classes with @jumboproduction
a lil trip to doctors house
so many mr sunils breakkies
very very good sunsets

okkkkk probably the best january of my liiiife if we’re being honest 🌸

sunrise over the red sea on new years day
a few more days snorkelling and sunbathing
a mind blowing trip to Luxor in a lush hotel
majestic temples
a bloody HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE

up to Cairo to see the flippin pyramids
visiting the mega museum
exploring the souks

oooone missed flight to sri lanka (oops!)

then touch down in Ahangama
up to Colombo to go to the cluuub with @dialledin_
some mega dinners

back to Hiriketiya
a stay at @mariposahiriketiya
a dance
a SWIM WITH TURTLES!!

Ahangama for some yoga
some saunas
some sunsets
some walks in the rain
some pilates
some lovely sea swims
some banging brunches

thanks to all my fellow adventurers who have spent the month with me at various points…
always BLESSED to have friends travelling at the same time as me 🪐

As a nostalgia freak, I’m loving this 2016 throwback trend... and tbh 2016 me was a legend, a chaotic amount of energy I can’t even comprehend anymore!

It was a time of change. IG stories had just been invented, festivals still lived mostly on Facebook, event pages were still king, Glastonbury was muddy (and Brexit was announced), and many beloved boutique festivals were having their final shows.

I lost most of my pre-2018 photos (including BOTH India trips 💔) when I changed/lost/broke a phone that wasn’t backed up to the cloud. But one pocket that survived was an absolutely vintage festival season plus some autumn club nights.

I was living in Bristol with my pal @georgianaslc , barely scraping through final year, working club nights, running my businesses, and prepping to leave for India.

It was the summer I graduated, landed my first big boy festival jobs, ran my headpiece and glitter businesses for the FOURTH year, and prepared to sofa surf then disappear to India for five transformative months (where I also started @thatfestivalife!)

A year of: very strong fringes, gun fingers in every photo (?!), jumping between so many parties/festivals/afters/genres/friendship groups that I feel exhausted just looking at these pics.

I turned 23 that June and vowed to have my shit sorted with a “real job” by 24 – because that’s how old @rhikimchi and @rosscinema were when I met them, my career idols 🥹

What an era! Feel blessed to still have or have reconnected to so many pals from that time too 💘 by @du1cie
