Thank you so much @dubcampfestivalofficial

We always feel that this festival really cements what we all do in our music scene. The studio time, travel, and efforts we make over the years get rewarded at this Mecca for the music we love. It’s not a dub corner at a multi genre festival it’s an entire gathering for roots music and therefore the energy and response from the people is concentrated and explosive.

So good to see friends from around the globe. Very grateful - thanks to the entire Dub Camp
team, @musikmatter and to @sinaisound 🙏🔈

SURVIVAL MADE IT 🔥🔊 Glad to see it finally made it to the session last night in Bristol in the great city over at @dubkasm HQ where we had originally started works on this project back in December 2023 (it was really a cold winters day)

A fun-fact of this tune is that the whole project began from an single riff idea that @benglass77 had adapted from playing about 12 years ago on the sound to then finally getting it recorded on a production and what a wonderful full-circle moment for it to have been used on the next collaborative project that we had entitled ‘Survival’ which is a fitting title for the wonderful Melody that Digi led for this one - as well as it being a fitting honour to our bredrin @strydagram who has worked at keeping the legendary @sufferahs_choice going for the past 30 years on airwaves, through the label and occasional dances alongside @teachings_in_dub nights!

Thanks to @abashantiofficial for running this one inna fine style for the masses as usual as that is what they come to the dance for 🔊🔥 Big up @qss_acoustics with the mini-rig setup! by @dubkasm

My link with Aba Shanti-I runs very deep, in this video Aba talks about his son @ashantiselahdub linking Digistep and I in the @dubkasm studio to record the dubplate he is running plus he recounts when I first visited him at his yard in Holloway Road and (Benji) Ashanti Selah, then a toddler, had a toy soundsystem which we played with “you get the preamp Stryda, I’ll get the scoops!” He goes on to talk about influences and role models, of the importance of elders around us, and how Ashanti Selah is now travelling the world musically and how proud he is of him and then he also mentions my son Cian. Each one teach one is the order of the day - this is more than just music.

This is why Aba joining me to celebrate my 30 years on the Bristol airwaves with the @sufferahs_choice means so much to me. It’s a family vibration! Tickets are down to final tier so grab yours if you wanna be with us at @strange_brew_briz on Saturday the 19th September for this intimate TID. 🔥🔈 by @dubkasm

Roots and Dubwise sounds best on a soundsystem. We released this track around 20 years ago. Originally run dubplate style by Aba Shanti-I ⚡️ . Nice to see Concrete Lion sounchecking with it all these years later. Big up all those keeping the tradition alive, building soundsystem, collecting tune, putting on dances, and running DIY labels, the vibes continue! 😎🔈 by @dubkasm

Don’t often do the “year on” posts but this trip was very special to us. Just been reminiscing and pulled up some behind the scenes clips from the trip so rather than just leaving them on the camera roll here they are. Massive thanks to everyone we met along the journey keeping Roots music alive on other side of the world! 😎🔥🔈 🇦🇺 by @dubkasm

📆 26 & 27 Juin 2026
📍 Stadium de Vitrolles - 25min de Marseille (France)
