Some people are just rare. And it turns out it’s a skill set you can develop too.

Rare people have “high agency”.

It consists primarily of:
- Bias towards action
- Disagreeability
- Clear thinking

Now go out there and find some rare people.

1 + 1 = 11 when you find the right co-founder.

I’ve built businesses alone and I’ve built them with partners…

But the ones that succeeded were the ones where I had help.

Having a co-founder isn’t just about splitting the work, it’s about multiplying the possibilities.

When you’re building something from nothing, the journey can be brutal.

There are days you want to quit. Days you doubt yourself.

But with the right co-founder, those days become conversations. Problems become puzzles to solve together.

And even if we ignore all the benefits a co-founder brings to the business…

It’s still so much more fun to build something with someone else.

I’d rather own 50% of a business I love building than 100% of one that makes me miserable.

A co-founder is the person who celebrates the tiny wins with you at 2am and reminds you why you started when everything’s falling apart.

That’s why 1 + 1 = 11.

Alone, you might build a good business but together, you build something extraordinary.

I’m grateful to have amazing co-founders around me who make my life not only easier…

But more fun.

Tag your co-founder below and tell them why they matter. Or, if you don’t have one, drop your business below and who you’re looking for. by @dudleyjdodd

Why I HAD to boycott the Webbys.

And lose out on my award 😕

I was looking forward to the ceremony.

I had my 5 word speech scribbled on the back of my hand…

I was ready to ask Snoop Dogg his dream.

Until they told me I had to buy my table.

Between the table, the flight, and the hotel…

It would’ve cost me $15,000!

Now maybe you’re thinking….

“Pfttt… I thought he was a millionaire?!”

But if you know me. You’ll know I still act like I’m poor.

That’s the secret to staying rich.

Not splashing money on cars or watches that will just end up owning you.

$15,000 could literally change a life.

I’d rather give the money away to someone that needs it.

Because at the end of the day. An award doesn’t really matter.

But someone’s dream does.

So instead… my team bought me a slinky.

And now it’ll forever sit on my shelf…

As a reminder that a piece of metal, isn’t what’s important.

It’s the impact on others that is. by @dudleyjdodd

I made this guy a millionaire.

@dudleyjdodd started working with me over two years ago.

For the next two years, he followed me around pretty much everywhere.

And I mean EVERYWHERE, if I was going on holiday…

Dudley was on the plane with me. Just in case someone needed a dream recorded and shared.

I paid him minimum wage. Sometimes, he covered his own expenses.

He even bought a camper van out of his own money just so the company could use it at events.

And you know what? He barely ever complained. He just showed up and put in the work.

Today, Dudley owns equity in HelpBnk. He’s a shareholder in the production company we’re building.

On paper, he’s a millionaire.

In just two years.

People love to say “never work for free” or “know your worth.”

That’s true. But only if you’re working with the wrong people.

The right people will make sure your effort doesn’t go unnoticed. That your sacrifices actually mean something.

Dudley went all in. And now he’s got skin in the game.

Not bad for a guy who used to work at Waitrose.

And now? If he wanted to, he could be on the path to buying it.

(Probably not. But you get the point.) by @dudleyjdodd
