Pantone has announced their color of the year and it’s… underwhelming, to say the least. Especially after such a boring neutral last year, we deserved better than the color of my dog’s probiotic Scroll thru to see some of my favorite hues they’ve chosen in the past. Not sure where things dropped off … my bet is they started using AI for creative tasks 🫣 What do you think of Mocha Mousse? #pantone #coloroftheyear #pantonecoloroftheyear #mochamousse #graphicdesigncommunity by @dumb.assets

SO charli xcx said that the idea behind brat’s album artwork was to keep costs low … BUT here’s some facts: 💿 the main font might be a blurred arial, but the font used for the track list on the back is well over $100 usd 💿 the online brat generator website (that has been up since early 2024) required initial coding & creative direction as well as consistent updates 💿 the remix album’s backwards text works to psychologically disarm the viewer, engaging their mind with an image that (due to brat’s ubiquity) they might have scrolled past i wonder how much the label ACTUALLY spent on brat’s overall aesthetic? . . . . . #charlixcx #musicdesign #visualcommunication #musicindustry #musicbusiness #musicmarketing #musicindustrytips #musicpackaging #designformusic #brat #designadvice #designeducation seo // brand design, branding, brand identity, visual identity, creative direction, color palette, design advice, music branding, music marketing by @dumb.assets

BRAND BREAKDOWN: @sweattour by @charli_xcx & @troyesivan 💙 The Sweat Tour uses blue & red as its primary colors (no pun intended) to distinguish itself from Brat’s branding. This is not just an extension of the album cycle — Charli and Troye are co-headlining, bringing out guests, and creating a completely interactive event. ❤️ Any musician who’s planning a tour or album release needs to be on top of their aesthetics. How do you think the Sweat tour holds up?
