an excerpt from the email/newsletter i sent out to my @gumroad subscribers the other day. it feels so weird to be carving your own path in a world that is so set in its ways. people are out here working for conglomerates, getting their masters, and following all sorts of paths great and dark. i’m out here cutting my own with a machete, and type design is now a part of that.

anyway, thanks to everyone who took a look at my fonts in 2023. i’ll soon have a bundle of all five (5!!!) for y’all to peruse. here’s to a new year 🎉

In honor of #freebiefriday (and my Con-Ed bill being due) here’s another look at BS SCHMUCK, my new handwritten typeface that’s FREE for any & all use cases ♡

Inspired by jewish delis, @sharpie doodling, and other beautiful things I took for granted in my childhood ♡ Made with help from @abbyleightonstudio + @fontself

i am SO EXCITED to announce that my first original typeface BS SCHMUCK is not only available to download … it’s also 100% FREE 🤯 this font has been a major labor of love and i am so happy to have it out in the world. PLS tag me if you use it so i can get the serotonin boost! enjoy the freebie, can’t wait to see what you guys make with it 🍄 this is only the beginning

🌀 ɪɴsᴘɪʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ 🌀 i have always struggled with corporeality, feeling like i am a soul trapped within my body. when there wasn’t one good thing i could say about my physical appearance, there was my handwriting. it made me feel beautiful before i knew how to. back in fifth grade my friends called it the “script of the gods” and when executed it perfectly on the smartboard, i felt like the most popular girl in school. these are grown-up, organic version of those same letterforms.
