Some things are best left to grow into their own story.

As the sun slips behind the vines, Toni-Maree waters the newest additions to Dune Road. Newly planted, still finding their feet, and already part of what comes next.

The vineyard is taking shape, one vine at a time.

A LABOUR OF LOVE AND 429 JUTE WEED MATS.

Have you ever wondered how a vineyard encourages its newest vines to find their way from tiny beginnings to something that will one day fill a row?

Let us walk you through our newly planted vines.

After careful soil preparation and planting, our first step is placing a jute weed mat over each of our 429 young vines.

It may look simple, but these natural-fibre mats have an important job to do. They help suppress competing weeds, retain moisture in the soil, protect the tender root zone from excessive heat and help hold the soil in place around each young vine.

And because they are made from natural, biodegradable fibre, they will eventually return to the earth from which they came.

For now, each mat marks a small patch of protection around a very young vine.

429 vines. 429 mats. And quite a lot of hand placement.

New here? Follow along as we take you through the seasons, the work and the growing of our little vineyard. by @duneroadvineyard

Earth without art is just “eh”.

For the 2026 Noosa Art Trail, we opened the gates to Dune Road for the first time — bringing together two things we believe are worth taking time over: wine and craftsmanship.

Across the vineyard, monumental steel works by Wolf stood exactly where they belonged. Designed for Dune Road, shaped with intention and built into the landscape rather than simply placed upon it.

Guests wandered the grounds, glass in hand, moving between sculpture and sparkling. Noosa came to look. A few left with a piece of their own.

The collaboration felt fitting.

Exceptional things take time. A work of art is refined through patience, instinct and years spent understanding the craft. Good wine asks much the same.

Wolf’s large-scale works are now part of Dune Road — made for the vineyard, not parked on it, and difficult to pass without stopping.

The art gave people a reason to come.

The wine gave them a reason to stay. by @duneroadvineyard

The Noosa Art Trail found its way to Dune Road for the first time, and the locals found their way up the driveway — drawn in by Wolf's large-scale works, built for this property and impossible to miss.

What they walked into: Toni-Maree in full medieval dress, corset and all, one of the dogs holding the driveway like a checkpoint, and a baked brie that did not survive the afternoon.

Rain, then shine, then rain again — Noosa laid on both seasons before the day was out, and nobody seemed inclined to leave.

Brut Reserve and Vintage Tawny Port, poured beside our own cheeses, with the art looking on.

And the wine and cheese were only half of it. Wolf, the artworks and the rest of the day are still to come. by @duneroadvineyard

The first vines are in!

Planted under a full moon on the Noosa River, this marks the beginning of the next chapter at Dune Road Vineyard.

Years in the making. Now finally in the ground.

Some things are worth waiting years to put in the ground.

This week, under a full moon on the Noosa River, Toni-Maree and Cameron planted the first vines at Dune Road Vineyard.

A vineyard asks for a particular kind of optimism. You plant knowing the real reward belongs to time — to seasons still to come, bottles not yet made, and tables you cannot yet picture.

Some grapevines will outlive the people who plant them. We rather like that about them.

For Toni-Maree and Cameron, this planting marks more than the beginning of a new vineyard. It is the next chapter for the family behind Sarabah Estate, and the arrival of a dream that has been taking shape for years.

The site was found. The plans were made. Then came the less photogenic part: delays, reschedules and seasons with ideas of their own.

Eventually, the timing was right.

And if you are going to begin a vineyard, a full moon over the Noosa River is a considerably better story than a convenient Tuesday.

The first vines are now in the earth. The cellar door follows in winter 2027.

Until then, there is wine to pour, vines to raise and a vineyard beginning to become what we always imagined it could be.

One day, we’ll drink from these vines. For now, this is where the story takes root. taken in Noosa, Queensland by @duneroadvineyard

Some sunsets require a glass. This one appears to have dressed for it.

Horses in the paddock, pink and blue across the sky, and our Sparkling Rosé catching the last of the light.

Wild berries, strawberries and cream. Salmon pink in the glass. Made on the Noosa River for afternoons with no particular intention of ending.

Introducing our Sparkling Rosé NV. Some bottles wait for a special occasion. This one has a habit of creating them.

Dune Road Vineyard’s limited release Sparkling Rosé NV is salmon pink with vibrant berry characters, bright natural acidity and a beautifully subtle sweetness that lingers long after the first sip. Produced using organic winemaking techniques and minimal intervention.
