The Windsong Horses is now open at Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre.

Opening night was a success, with several red dots appearing beside Karen’s works. A lovely start for the exhibition.

Working with Karen from Amsterdam to bring this show together has been a real joy. Her paintings and drawings invite us to pause and listen to the herd’s quiet language.

Congratulations, Karen, and a heartfelt thank you to Dune Road Vineyard for your generous support.

On view in Queensland until 15 November.

Karen Osborn’s The Windsong Horses opens, 16 October at Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre, Queensland, Australia! 🥂

My curator’s note is on the wall, inviting visitors to notice the smaller things: a glance, a shift in posture, the space one horse gives another. This is the language of the herd, and Karen has a rare understanding of how to observe it with patience and care.

After a year of working together on this exhibition from opposite sides of the world, it’s wonderful to see it come together.

Wishing Karen a successful opening and a wonderful exhibition. Congratulations!

The installation is complete and I am so proud to see 35 works come together into a beautiful exhibition.

A wonderful opening night is planned, with live music and welcome sparkling wine from @duneroadvineyard

I will be on site Saturday and Sunday from 1030-1330 working on art for my next project which will be announced soon, so I would love to meet you!

I would like to take this moment to sincerely thank my curator, Joyce Ter Horst from @paardverzameld . She has supported me throughout the whole process for the last year, including working on the layout from the floor plan, which made installation day organised and professional, and done within the day.
With the advantage of technology, she can curate anywhere in the world, and I cannot recommend her enough.

Let’s go! Karen Osborn’s artwork is packed and ready to make its way to Queensland for The Windsong Horses, opening on 15 October at Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre.

I’ve been curating this exhibition from Amsterdam, so seeing Karen’s work on its way makes it all feel wonderfully real. I can’t wait to see it come to life in Cooroy!

A curator’s dream: an empty space, full of possibility.

Artist Karen Osborn and I have been quietly working across continents on her wonderful solo exhibition, The Windsong Horses, opening in Australia.

Soon, this space will be filled with her artwork as an exhibition with a beautiful narrative begins to take shape.

More soon.

Planning an exhibition and looking for a curator to help shape the concept, selection and presentation? Get in touch.

So great meet Toni-Maree & Cameron from @duneroadvineyard last night as they welcomed us into their inspiring emerging winery.

This is exciting news for the coast, which will have its own vineyard producing a local Shiraz. The vines are about to be planted and the plans are complete for a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy a glass of Dune Vineyard Shiraz 🍇

A great way to close this years @noosaopenstudios Thanks Toni-Maree & Cameron. Welcome to the coast and great to meet you both. We look forward to watching your journey unfold 🙏

Thank you @duneroadvineyard for being a supporter and encourager of artists.

I’ve been wanting to paint vines for a while now and realised I need to actually go and see some.

Once they begin to grow I’ll be back with my sketchbooks and paints.
