Same colour family. Completely different feeling. The right colour palette can completely transform a space, shifting the mood, depth and character of a room.

Swipe to explore some colour palettes we're loving at the moment.

A closer look at the details of CDQ Suite.

While we’re not quite ready to reveal the full finished space, there’s been simply too much happening behind the scenes not to share at least a little glimpse.

The textures. Finishes. Joinery. Lighting. Furniture. Each one carefully considered, to create depth, warmth and a feeling that is distinctly CDQ. It’s these smaller moments that make the bigger picture work. The things you might not notice straight away, but you feel when everything comes together.

Swipe for a little glimpse, for now. There’s plenty more to come.

The Making | Essence Haus
Residential Project ~ Perth

This is the part we truly LOVE. When the ideas, drawings and details we’ve been working through finally make their way onto site and become something real.

Designed as a calm sanctuary for a new chapter of living, Essence Haus is all about considered materiality and understated warmth. Natural stone, tactile mosaics, warm oak joinery and softened curves are slowly coming together to create the feeling we envisioned from the very beginning.

Tiles are going down, joinery is taking shape and those smaller details are finally finding their place.

Watching a project come together, piece by piece, never gets old.

IT’S OUR SECOND BIRTHDAY! 🎂

And because we like to keep things real, we have to admit this year hasn’t always been the easiest. There have been plenty of lessons, a few curveballs and a whole lot of figuring things out as we go.

But looking back, we’re grateful for all of it. Two years in, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built, the work we’ve created and the people we’ve met along the way. Thank you to everyone who has backed us, trusted us and been part of our journey so far.

Here’s to the third chapter. We have a feeling it’s going to be a pretty special one.

The part where things get messy. Literally.

Welcome to the making of Essence Haus. Stripped back to the bare bones. Making way for new forms, considered details and all the layers that will shape this home.

Safe to say, it got a little dusty.

You didn’t think we were done, did you?

More colours we spotted, saved and couldn’t quite leave behind while we were in Sydney.

Which one has your eye?

A lot has been happening at CDQ lately.

The drawings and ideas we’ve been working through are starting to take shape. Furniture is arriving, details are being worked through on site with our builder and trades, and we’re making those final decisions that might seem small, but ultimately shape how the space feels.

There’s something pretty special about seeing all of those individual pieces come together. The materials, the furniture, the lighting, the little details we’ve obsessed over. They’re shaping the space into what we imagined it to be from the beginning.

It’s the part of the process we love. Seeing all the details we’ve spent so much time considering finally start to feel like they belong together.

It’s true. The details truly make all the difference.

Colour moments that caught our eye during our recent trip to Sydney.

We found ourselves noticing colour everywhere we went, so naturally, we had to collect a few.

Which colour are you leaning towards?

A weekend in Sydney doing what we love most. Discovering beautiful spaces, getting lost in the details and finding inspiration around every corner.

The furniture, the lighting, the architecture. There’s something pretty special about being surrounded by so much incredible design.

Feeling very grateful for the places Duohaus continues to take us, the people we meet along the way and that we get to call this our job!

Sydney, we’ll definitely be back.
