Join us for Cards & Conversations, a creative social night in Durham where you’ll cut, collage, and create your very own deck of conversation cards.

Think unexpected questions, juicy icebreakers, unpopular opinions, and prompts that’ll get people talking. Bring your finished deck to date night, girls’ night, or your next dinner party.

We’ll supply your deck of cards, the inspiration for questions, and magazines. Also plenty of cool sticker books and all the craft supplies. You just bring your creativity.

#MeettheBusinessOwner 💫 Meet Julia Mangum, owner and founder of @durhamcraftco - thanks to a lifelong love of crafting, Julia is now creating unique interactive experiences for people to connect 🎨 🖌️

What gets you excited to go to work everyday?
"Seeing what people create! I love when people show up and create something I never imagined. I love watching someone come in saying, 'I’m not creative,' and leave genuinely proud of what they made. I also love that Durham Craft Co allows me to share my craft ideas with others through interactive experiences. I’m constantly dreaming up new crafts and experiences. No two events feel exactly the same."

What services do you offer?
"Durham Craft Company hosts beginner-friendly DIY craft experiences throughout the Triangle, along with private events, corporate team building and custom craft activations. Our craft experiences range from personalized make and take stations during cocktail hours to candlelit craft nights. Our goal is to make creativity feel approachable, social and fun!"

A fun fact?
"My Notes app is an endless vault of craft ideas. I enjoy turning these craft ideas into intentional gatherings where guests leave with more than just something they made."

What's next for you?
"More creativity in unexpected places! I’m excited to bring Durham Craft Company to more celebrations, workplaces, local businesses and community spaces, while continuing to dream up fresh experiences that give adults a reason to unplug, make something and connect." by @durhamcraftco

Cooler days are coming. More reasons to slow down, sit around the table, and actually talk. 🍂✨

Join Durham Craft Company at Atomic Clock Brewing Co. @atomicclockbrewing for Craft & Conversations. This is a social and creative night centered around making something that helps us connect a little more.

You’ll create your own personalized conversation card deck filled with questions you actually want to ask.

Maybe yours becomes a deck for deeper conversations with your kids around the dinner table. Maybe it lives on the coffee table for date nights. Maybe you pull it out during girls’ night.

We’ll have conversation prompts to inspire you, but the questions are completely yours.

Then comes the creative part: use magazine clippings, stickers, letters, words, colors, and collage materials to turn each card into a tiny piece of art and create a deck that feels completely unique to you.

And because this night is about more than crafting, expect opportunities to pull a few cards, share some laughs, and connect with the people around you.

New to the area? Looking to meet new faces? Or just craving a different kind of weeknight experience?

Come grab a drink, make something meaningful, and stay for the conversation.

If you missed this one, the good news we’re doing it again!

September is blooming a little differently 🌸

We’re welcoming Morgan, founder of Hey Little Flower @hey.littleflower.co She is joining us for two Sunset Blooms workshops this September.

We’ll start by giving an old vase a new life. Choose your style and transform your vase with decoupage prints or modern dimensional details before filling it with something beautiful.

Then, Morgan takes over the blooms. She’ll guide us through creating a beautiful, intentional floral arrangement while sharing her passion for locally sourced flowers, reducing waste, and more sustainable floral practices.

Come create with us. Learn something new, and leave with an arrangement (and vase!) completely your own.
