#MeettheBusinessOwner 💫 Meet Julia Mangum, owner and founder of @durhamcraftco - thanks to a lifelong love of crafting, Julia is now creating unique interactive experiences for people to connect 🎨 🖌️

What gets you excited to go to work everyday?
"Seeing what people create! I love when people show up and create something I never imagined. I love watching someone come in saying, 'I’m not creative,' and leave genuinely proud of what they made. I also love that Durham Craft Co allows me to share my craft ideas with others through interactive experiences. I’m constantly dreaming up new crafts and experiences. No two events feel exactly the same."

What services do you offer?
"Durham Craft Company hosts beginner-friendly DIY craft experiences throughout the Triangle, along with private events, corporate team building and custom craft activations. Our craft experiences range from personalized make and take stations during cocktail hours to candlelit craft nights. Our goal is to make creativity feel approachable, social and fun!"

A fun fact?
"My Notes app is an endless vault of craft ideas. I enjoy turning these craft ideas into intentional gatherings where guests leave with more than just something they made."

What's next for you?
"More creativity in unexpected places! I’m excited to bring Durham Craft Company to more celebrations, workplaces, local businesses and community spaces, while continuing to dream up fresh experiences that give adults a reason to unplug, make something and connect."

Still holding the magic of Grandma’s House. 🤎✨

There was something so beautiful about watching generations come together under one roof, sharing stories, laughter, memories, and breaking bread together. 🤎

It felt like coming home.

From the food and music to the little moments that made the day feel nostalgic and familiar, Brown Sugah: Taste of Home was a reminder of the beauty in creating spaces where our culture can be celebrated, shared, and passed down. ✨

Craft on the patio during our last day of service THIS SUNDAY! 🌞 Julia with @durhamcraftco has planned a lovely afternoon of wine tote painting. It's always a great time (as you can tell from these photos which were seriously not staged – these events are simply that enjoyable!!)
