In 2011 @qui.writes wrote a play called She Kills Monsters. And just like every play that Qui writes with puppets, it changes my life. Revisiting this play 13 years after the original run has been a sweet treat. Putting this play together with a creative team of old and new friends has been a welcomed distraction from how broken the world is right now. I recognize my extreme privilege being able to keep my head down and create something fun and meaningful with the young artists involved in the @butlertheatre program.
Tonight (11/13/24) the cast gets their first audience and they are beyond ready. I look forward to seeing all of them thrive and learn more about who they are meant to become.

In August of 2018 I was tasked with building a huge @lego dragon for a live puppet show of Lego Ninjago in Dubai. As a puppet builder, I’ve had to build numerous dragons for all kinds of stuff. Not sure if this one ever got rotated into shows. But it was one of the most enjoyable builds I’ve ever done. Luckily, I had @thebleepbloopshop helping me along the way. When people ask me “what’s your favorite thing you’ve built”…this is it. 🐉 taken in The Jim Henson Foundation by @dvpuppets

For the past couple months @ricklyonpuppets invited me to help build some new elements for the London revival of @avenueqonstage . 3d printing, mechs, good old puppet building…It was an honor to assist in the magic! One of the new elements was Lucy getting a full set of LEGS. Please enjoy. by @dvpuppets
