D&W: LOST FILES - MIDNIGHT LOCAL TIMEZONE
Each slide has previews of each song and the backstory behind all of them, starting with this intro;

MICHAEL CALLOUT INTRO (2025/2026)
Recorded the beginning voicemail in the heat of the moment at my previous job some time earlier this year bc I was upset about a lot of things piling up (some of it I dont rlly mean anymore but it was such an in the moment frustration thing where I said what I needed to say to be at peace w myself at that time so I left it here as is), made a beat with my Gorillaz DoYaThing vinyl in the background as well as some scratches off Little Brother Hiding Place “USHERING A NEW ERA” that I couldn’t find fit on the actual album NEW ERA. The following beat is also known as “GILLAN”, one of the first beats I made with a turntable recorded sample, made alongside Fxji at the D&W VOL 2 Airbnb.

OMW [2025/2026]
Open that Zack made last year for VOL 2 that I didn’t record on because I wasn’t sure how to get on it at the time, this is a verse I did a few months ago specifically for this mixtape.

fxji - GO BERSERK (feat. @kysdevi) [2023/2026]
Open that Zack made back in 2023, I sent it to Devi in December or January bc I knew he’d be a perfect fit for it (and he was), Zack redid the mix before we uploaded it and that is the version you hear on this project.

dw destroyer - WATCH AND LEARN (2025)
Beat I bought from Sacredeer around the time of the Airbnb sessions along with 2 others, recorded this as an open for Twinstar but decided to finish it myself, the version you hear here is the LoveSick FreeTape version with all the tags, not the version that’s on this project.

INSTIGATE REMIX (aka AMERIKID - POISON) [2025/2026]

Song that was recorded for the @amerikid.ca album during the D&W VOL 2 sessions, we bought a lot of Oddwin beats for this album and this was one of the ones Zack rlly loved, I couldn’t get myself to record on it at the time because of personal reasons, meaning only Fxji was on the final version that made the AMERIKID album, as well as the SOTH posse cut not being finished in time for the final version, so I decided to finish both for this mixtape, my verse on here was recorded a month b taken in Boone, North Carolina by @dw_destroyer

Feel a bit disappointed that I haven’t rlly made much music or rlly did anything other than working this year feel like I wasted the first half of it lol, getting back into both vocal (been on hiatus since January) and instrumental right now though, I did make some beats this year but not enough to release it, this is my last month in High Point b4 I move to Boone, going to Back2Zero Durham show w my brother b4 I leave

I think the reason I took so long to get back into vocal stuff is ever since mid-late 2023 where I locked into trying to be more authentic in what I say I’ve been rlly critical of what I make & how I sound and what I say etc, I would get talked down a lot when I was younger so I think my brain constantly does that now when I do anything just cuz it’s what I’m use to and I need to get over that lol, I’m tired of ppl playing with my money and emotions I’m only buying beats and features and working with ppl that fully believe in my vision and aren’t in it for only payment or to scam me or as a marketing tactic or ppl who didn’t even like me as a person from the start and whatever else, the reason D&W lost files didn’t get finished was bc the cover artist I commissioned who’s done covers for bigger artists ran with my money almost $200 and didn’t do shit for half a year, so Zack did it himself and I took my loss and I’m gonna try to get the tape out this year for yall and hopefully I can get another project that isn’t just one full of throwaways out b4 the year ends too

I’m gonna have a lot more freedom in my apartment I won’t be having to deal with pressure of having to record around family who doesn’t understand what I’m doing (though neighbors might be a different story we’ll see 🤷), excited to keep pursuing this when I’m down there and whatever other endeavors I work on (I’ve been slowly working up to another Roblox paintball game in the background as well we’ll see if that fleshes out properly) excited for this next chapter in my life as I turn 21 next week, the next post I make will be showcasing music I’m working on🤞🤞🤞

Was contemplating not promoting this, I’m not sure why I haven’t been feeling too good the past few weeks, started getting a bit insecure about this project as well, but it will be a disservice to myself if I didnt showcase something my past self put so much work and thought into

This project was written, produced, and conceptualized throughout late 2024 to mid 2025, and only recently got the chance to record it in December

This project was originally LoveSick FreeTape where it was gonna be mixed with more positive/hype songs and all of these songs in the mix as well, but to keep things cohesive I decided to seperate both projects and keep working on lovesick FreeTape to drop later when I’m able to (though bc of my ambition to move onto newer things I am considering scrapping it bc I’ve held onto this idea since 2024, I’m not sure yet though all I know is that right now I am not capable of recording bc of my situation w my dad plus being busy working again nor have I been motivated to really do anything in general ),
regardless if it doesn’t fully represent my current feelings anymore I’m proud of what I was able to convey with this, though I’m mainly just ready to move onto bigger things at this point lol

Personal project, I get scared of what other people think of what I do, how I act, and if my art is good enough to please yall but I have to remember at the end of the day I do this for me and not anyone else regardless how many people are going to hear it, it’s hard to maintain that sometimes bc of childhood wounds I can’t fully heal from, a lot of the vocal snippets I posted a month or two ago will be on the project I had archived it out of insecurity but I’ll put it back up shortly, I know I said new songs every week but I’m not rlly capable (work + housing) or motivated to record right now and I’m more focused on prioritizing my personal life first so even with all the things I have planned I don’t know how long it’s gonna take me to drop something else, this and another song I have with @dogi06444 is gonna be the last drop for a while 🤞 Hope yall enjoy I’ll be back soon by @dw_destroyer

Posting my new years post early cuz i can🤪
Been a lot of ups & downs this year, tried to stop oversharing too much personal stuff for various reasons & while the battle is nowhere near over it’s a lot better & more tolerable than it was last year Im very grateful for that :)
Got to finally meet one of my best friends of 10 years @fxjifxjifxji &record an entire album w him at an Airbnb this summer during my birthday week which was an amazing experience, also were the only vocal contributions i released this year (apart from a song w @twibbyaster), I did mean to make a lot more vocal music this year than I did but my work conditions & living situation prevented me, but I am very happy w how my music turned out this year. I dropped my best beat tape w Life is Just a Moment which not only had a lot of meaningful & personal songs to me but was an incredible showcase of what talent I am capable of, I am incredibly proud of that project & the reception of it. I am also incredibly proud of D&W VOL 2 NEW ERA, having a space away from family to really stretch my vocals to what I knew I was capable of was such an awesome experience & helped me be more confident in the next batch of music I’ve been working on solo. We plan to drop a compilation of throwaway songs from the project soon featuring deluxe songs from both volumes, older solo unreleased from Fxji and I, a BLXCKMXGE cypher intended for the @amerikid.ca album, and cover drawn by @moneesincere.archives !!! made my first ever music video, CDs & Vinyl this year as well!!! Hope to do more in the future, I’m very excited for next year I want to lock in on vocal music, I almost have a project ready for February, producing an album for @akumasosa as well! Been tryna quit all my pills havin rlly bad withdrawal headaches as im writing this but still very excited to see where next year will take me!! TY to everyone that made all the great things i had happen this year possible & everyone that follows me for supporting me 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 NEW SINGLE ON CHRISTMAS, DROPPING A SONG AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK IN 2026, STAY TUNED!!!😁😁😁😁😁🩷🩷🩷HOPE YALL HAD A GREAT YEAR TOO &AN EVEN BETTER ONE NEXT YEAR, RIP BARNEY DONTWRRYBLXCKMXGE26💿 by @dw_destroyer
