This path has been filled with challenges, but every hurdle has been worth it. Being an entrepreneur places you in one of life’s most vulnerable positions, where your work is critiqued without full appreciation for the effort invested.

I really love my people ❤️

Happy birthday again to Caleb Paull. Somehow the Citrus Club brought all of us together, and I don’t think any of us really knew at the time how much these friendships would end up meaning. We’re all in completely different seasons right now, building, growing, changing, figuring life out and doing our own thing, so nights like this hit a little different.

I’m big on friendship. I’m big on having good people around. And I’m definitely thankful for this group… by @dwaynejkent

Leadership isn’t about being the loudest person in the room, it’s about being willing to bring people together, create opportunities, and leave something stronger than you found it. Stepping into this role as Chairman means more to me than a title, it means responsibility. Responsibility to show up, to listen, to build, and to make sure the people and businesses in our community feel supported. I don’t want to compete with people who are already doing great work; I want to partner with them and help make that work even stronger. We are just getting started, and I know there is a lot ahead of us, but I’m ready for it. People. Partnership. Progress. That’s what this next chapter is about. by @dwaynejkent

Well, it’s official. We are officially a Chamber, and I am officially the Chairman of the Building Empowerment Chamber of Commerce.

It feels good to say that, but I also know the real work is just beginning.

One thing about me, I believe in making something exist first and making it better as you go. If you wait until everything is perfect, sometimes you’ll be waiting forever. We have a lot to build, a lot to learn and definitely a lot in store for BECC.

One of the biggest things I want this Chamber to be known for is partnership. I’m not interested in coming into the community trying to compete with organizations that are already doing great work. I’d rather ask, how can we help? How can we partner? How can we take what you’re already doing and make it even stronger?

There is enough work to be done for all of us.

As I step into this position, I also understand that I’m stepping into something bigger than just being Chairman of a board. I’m stepping further into community leadership, and I take that seriously.

I’ve always believed that leadership is something you show people, not something you constantly have to tell people you have.

I never said I wanted to be in the fire lol. But sometimes when you really want change, you have to be willing to stand in it.

And I do want change.

I want change for my community, for our people and for our country. I want to see more opportunities created, more businesses growing, more people connected and more organizations actually working together instead of everybody trying to be the only one in the room.

So here we are.

We made it exist.

Now it’s time to build it, strengthen it and make an impact.

Running a marketing company means sometimes the “content” is literally me walking down the street trying to find the perfect spot to shoot for a client 😂

People see the final video, but they don’t always see the scouting, the walking around, looking at lighting, checking backgrounds, figuring out angles… all the little stuff that makes it come together.

And yes, while I’m out here telling my clients to post content, I’m trying to remember to post mine too 😂

Marketing the marketers is a full-time job by itself lol.

But this is the work. This is the process. And it definitely works. by @dwaynejkent

Running a marketing company and then realizing you ALSO have to market your own marketing company is actually hilarious 😂😂

Like… we spend all day telling everybody else, “You need to post content!” Meanwhile I’m over here like, dang, I gotta post too?! 😂

But seriously, content WORKS. You have to get yourself out there, stay consistent, and let people actually see what you do. I highly recommend it because the proof is definitely in the results.

And sidenote… Darsh is doing GOOD 👏🏾😂

And Seth…thank you 😂😂😂😂
