হ্যালো সবাই!

প্রথম পর্বে আপনাদের সাড়া আর ভালোবাসা আমাদের উৎসাহ দ্বিগুণ করেছে। তাই আসছি পথে পথে সিনেমা-র দ্বিতীয় কিস্তি নিয়ে। তবে এবার চার দেয়ালের গণ্ডি পেরিয়ে, আসলেই নামছি পথে-পথে!

Last time, we brought people together around a screen. This time, we're taking the screen out into the open, right at Dhanmondi Lake Park.

শারদীয় উৎসবের এই সময়ে ধানমন্ডি লেকের পাড়ে এবারের পর্দায় থাকছে মাহমুদা আক্তার মনীষার "গালি কথন" এবং ঋতুপর্ণ ঘোষের কালজয়ী চলচ্চিত্র "উৎসব"। One takes a closer look at misogyny and the language we use every day, while the other unfolds around family, relationships, and the tensions that surface when everyone comes together. Two films, two different worlds. আর সিনেমা শেষে তো আড্ডা চলবেই!

We are humbled to be able to kickstart "পথে পথে সিনেমা: Cinema on the go" in collaboration with @ghar.tera and hoping to hit more spaces around the city soon with our moving cinema theater initiative 🙏🏽

If you also have a space to share with us where we can watch something, talk, question, laugh and breathe together, do let us know where and what kind of space with an approximate capacity, we will try to circle back and show up with our theatre at your doorstep someday 📽️

Sincere gratitude to all our guests for filling our space over the weekend with so much warmth and curiosity and @molla4803 for gracing us with his wit and wisdom along with his memorable creations, it's a privilege to be able to have him among all of us 🌻

Pothe Pothe Cinema: Cinema On The Go

Hey! We, from Dwip Gallery, are incredibly excited to share something we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes.

We believe cinema isn’t something just for watching, it should be lived, shared, and questioned. Thus, we are starting Pothe Pothe Cinema, a moving screening initiative designed to be a space that is both safe and intimate.

We imagine this to be a place where we can drop our guards and involve ourselves in the adda, and we’ll of course have film to circle back to.

With this specific installation of Pothe Pothe Cinema, we want to showcase some select films of Molla Sagar. All of you are cordially invited to join us this weekend!

Place: Dwip Gallery, 1/1, Block D, Lalmatia, Ground floor, Dhaka 1207.

কিউরেটিং দ্য কিউরেটরস' কিউরেশনকে কেবল প্রদর্শনী আয়োজনের একটি দক্ষতা হিসেবে নয়, বরং একটি সাংস্কৃতিক, সম্পর্কভিত্তিক, রাজনৈতিক ও সমালোচনামূলক চর্চা হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে। এই চর্চা নির্ধারণ করে কোন ধারণা, ইতিহাস ও জনগোষ্ঠী জনপরিসরে দৃশ্যমান হয়ে ওঠে।

এই সম্পূর্ণ অর্থায়নপ্রাপ্ত দুই সপ্তাহের রেসিডেন্সি একত্রে শেখা ও জ্ঞান নির্মাণের ভিত্তিতে গড়ে উঠেছে। আমন্ত্রিত কিউরেটর, শিল্পী, গবেষক ও অন্যান্য পেশাজীবীদের পাশাপাশি অংশগ্রহণকারীরাও তাঁদের অভিজ্ঞতা, প্রশ্ন ও কর্মপদ্ধতি ভাগ করে নেবেন।

নাটোরে আয়োজিত এই রেসিডেন্সিতে সংলাপ, কর্মশালা, স্টুডিও ও আর্টস্পেস ভিজিট এবং সমালোচনামূলক আলোচনার মাধ্যমে আমরা অন্বেষণ করব কীভাবে কিউরেটোরিয়াল চর্চা জ্ঞান সৃষ্টি করে, ক্ষমতার কাঠামোকে প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ করে এবং বিকল্প ভবিষ্যতের কল্পনা নির্মাণ করে।

A two-week-long Curatorial Residency & Workshop

Curating the Curators is a residency designed as a contextual, critical, cultural, relational, and political methodology for ushering the entry of ideas, histories, and communities into the public sphere.

The project is co-designed as a collaborative environment for co-learning, founded on the principle that knowledge can be a product of the collective rather than a unidirectional transmission. While the program features contributions from invited practitioners, curators, artists, and researchers who serve as facilitators, participants are also expected to be active contributors.

Urukku.Bangladesh is coming to Shishu Poribohon s "Duo art session" where parents and kids or any duo can participate together. We will do a kids friendly shadow puppetry workshop where you can develop your own story utilising discarded paper. The Workshop will be for two hours.

Registration : link in bio / you may also register on the spot in early appearance basis.
Registration fee: 500 taka per duo

Shadow Stories by Urukku at Rongila

Guess what? Urukku.Bangladesh is coming to the Shishu Poribohon Duo Session and this time parents are not just watching, they are joining in.

We are turning discarded paper into puppets, puppets into characters, and characters into full-blown shadow dramas.

In this 2-hour Shadow Puppetry Workshop, kids and parents will
Cut. Stick. Build. Perform.

Make up wild stories.
Bring shadows to life.
