A handful of women dance makers who pioneered modern dance, were largely responsible for contemporary & post modern dance. However, there are fewer women choreographers in the mainstream today. The usual gatekeepers habitually incapable basic dance history knowledge. Gratitude to the woman dance teachers and choreographers who helped me get here and shaped my industry. by @dynamicreleasing

Working within a set from day 1 was something I began mid-career. It created focus, facilitated a faster process - needing very experienced performers to drive the work forward. Experiential pedagogy is most profound. You just have to have the years behind you. And anyone with heart, a sense of risk and a vision can get there. by @dynamicreleasing

That wonderful morning moment before warm-up begins - a choreographer savours with gratitude the generosity of dancers committed to a common vision. #dynamicreleasing #asianchoreographer #srilankanchoreographer #britishchoreographer #dancemaker #contemporarydancer by @dynamicreleasing
