Dysfunktone was formed in 2015, in a garage in East Rockaway, New York. What began from a shared interest in funky music, sushi, and noise complaints, evolved over time into a full-fledged progressive jam-funk outfit that pushes the boundaries of genre and sound as far as they possibly can.
Dysfunktone is best known for their complex musical arrangements, huge dynamic changes at the drop of a dime, and ability to weave extended improvisational sequences into any song in their catalog, as well as their unique interpretations of the music of their many various influences.
With a strong desire to spread their Long Island sound, Dysfunktone has toured all over the East Coast; sharing the stage with artists such as Eggy, Spafford, Dopapod, TAUK, Lespecial, Kung Fu, Octave Cat, Magic Beans, Dirtwire, Kitchen Dwellers, Zach Nugent, Consider the Source, and many more! by @dysfunktone

Let’s all wish a happy 30th birthday to our guitarist/keyboardist Rob!

Rob writes a ton of Dysfunktone music, and always keeps us on track at practice when we need to focus. He also teaches music to the youth of America, so they can start their very own band someday!

If you see him today, bring him some sushi, give him a hug, or ask him about his favorite Sonic game.

We’re so proud of him for completing thirty revolutions around the sun! ☀️ Happy birthday buddy @mobreza4 by @dysfunktone

Band field trip to the movies (We actually saw The Odyssey but the poster was too in the way, so Toy Story was a nice backup).

Didn’t get to hear the siren song but the tide sure was strong
