VOICES & vibes ! ⚡️ This piece is called LIGHT and it is a six part rhythmic and harmonic choral madness, or as I’d like to think it, ‘chase of coherence’. 😇 ‘Light’ refracts words, syllables, chords and melodic lines in amongst the singers and the choir as a prism regathers the scattered rays into a coherent beam. At 130 bpm it is a 3 minute sprint to perform and VOX Ensemble @sydney.philharmonia conducted by Liz Scott absolutely smashes this challenging piece! And the listeners… well they get it! < The family in the post, if you see this and wish me to tag you, let me know - it was a joy to meet you at the premiere > • VOICES is a participative light & sound installation by @pulsing.heart and is on until July 20 as part of @illuminateadelaide - cnr Frome St & Nth Terrace Adelaide. . . . #voices #illuminateadelaide #publicart #lightandsound #sonetlumiere #choir #choral #voice #newmusic #artmusic #interactive #participatory #installation #adelaide #australianart #australianmusic #australia by @e.e.phoenix

“Just like this” VOICES premiere July 4, 2025 @illuminateadelaide . Created by @pulsing.heart, composed by me @e.e.phoenix and performed by VOX Ensemble of @sydney.philharmonia conducted by Elizabeth Scott, this was a unique and complex project to compose, organise, perform, record and edit. It’s been a joy! . The song here is called Lemon Sugar Pancakes. Singing of joy and aching sweetly with the nostalgia of summers past, it’s a bubbling six part choral piece that expands to 16 voices at times with multiple divisi. . . . #Lemonsugarpancakes #voices #lightandsound #lightandsoundshow #sonetlumiere #installation #publicart #illuminateadelaide #choir #sydneyphilharmoniachoirs #popsong #60s #nostalgia #music #artmusic #popmeetschoir #choralmusic taken in The University of Adelaide by @e.e.phoenix

VOICES an interactive light and sound installation by @pulsing.heart premiered @illuminateadelaide ✨I composed a tapestry of 8 original choral works for this ground-breaking installation. Performed by the VOX Ensemble @sydney.philharmonia and conducted by the one and only Elizabeth Scott, the piece was developed over 2 creative developments, 6 rehearsal and one epic recording session, over the course of 9 months of creation , composition, mixing and production. You can hear each one of the 50 voices as you spin the light filled columns of this exciting kinetic sculpture! Go and have a spin Adelaide! . . . . . #choral #choir #adelaide #sculpture #lightandsound #sonetlumiere #publicart #voice #singing #originalmusic #interactive #ekremeliphoenix #sydneyphilharmoniachoirs #australia #artmusic taken in University of South Australia by @e.e.phoenix
