Most people think this is just a giant fire box… until they see what it actually does.

This air curtain burner uses high velocity airflow to trap smoke, increase oxygen, and reburn particles before they leave the box. Hotter burn. Cleaner burn. Faster reduction.

Instead of hauling load after load of brush, we can reduce massive amounts of wood waste on-site while creating biochar as a byproduct.

At full RPM, this thing sounds like a jet engine and can process tons of material per hour. Watching the airflow change from idle to full throttle is wild.

For our tree company, this wasn’t just about fire — it was about efficiency. Less trucking. Less dumping. Less machine time spent moving piles around.

And honestly… videos don’t do the heat justice. 🔥

Would you rather grind it, haul it, or burn it with an air curtain system?

This truck cost me $255,000. I put $70,000 down and took on a $4,500/month payment without knowing if it would pay off.

Looking back, it completely changed my business. It allowed us to take on bigger jobs, work more efficiently, and build a crane division that continues to grow.

At the time it felt risky. Now it feels like one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken in your business?

Hazardous trees don’t take the day off—but luckily, neither do we. 😤
Crane was swinging, wind was blowing, and the mailbox? Still standing. 💪

Dump fees are for people without a $160,000 fire-breathing solution. 🔥 by @e.hayes_

”$160,000 machine to eliminate dump fees,” they said.

They only saw the price tag. Not the math behind it. 👇

The good wood? Saved. Every time. That was never the debate.

The problem is nobody actually wants it.

Sawmills are picky. Firewood guys are flooded. “Free wood” sounds great until you’re the one trying to give away a truckload of unsorted logs nobody has room for.

So what’s left — storm debris, rot, disease, splintered limbs — has to go somewhere.

The dump charges by the ton. Fuel and labor stack on top. That’s real money bleeding out of the business every single week for material nobody wants.

Mulch isn’t the flex people think it is either. Flooded market, thin margins, and here’s the part nobody talks about: mulch is just slow-motion decomposition. As it breaks down, the carbon stored in that wood goes right back into the air as CO2.

Biochar doesn’t do that.

The burn locks carbon into a stable form that sits in soil for centuries instead of leaking out in a few years. Same wood. Opposite outcome. 🔥

Firewood? Even worse margins once you factor splitting, seasoning, storage, delivery. Nobody’s getting rich off a cord of oak.

Power generation off this thing exists too — an attachment that turns the heat into electricity. Not cheap. Not even publicly priced. Someday. Not yet.

Here’s the actual business: we don’t get paid for the wood. We get paid to take it away. That’s the model. Not firewood, not mulch — the dumping fee.

Storm debris in. Biochar out. Carbon locked in for centuries instead of leaking back into the air.

Every log, a home. 🌲🔥

Would you rather pay to dump it, or burn it clean and lock the carbon in the ground? Tell me below. 👇 by @e.hayes_

Everyone celebrates revenue.

Very few people ask what it actually costs to create it.

I used to think bigger invoices meant I was getting ahead. The longer I’ve been in business, the more I’ve realized that revenue and progress aren’t the same thing.

A business can look successful from the outside while quietly struggling on the inside.

That’s why I’ve stopped chasing numbers that impress other people and started paying attention to the numbers that keep a business alive.

I’m still ambitious. I still want to grow. But growth without profitability is just expensive momentum.

To every entrepreneur watching this: don’t confuse movement with progress.

Build something that lasts.
