Susumu Yokota had a short life but like Muslimgauze or Coil, releases have kept comin posthumously and I’ve seen box sets of his older albums being released or rereleased recently too.
I was a fan of the Sublime label as they were coming out, But the later stuff from the 90’s meaning the Leaf stuff were a hit and miss, after his unexpected passing I managed to grab most of not all, and started to appreciate them a lot more, esp the ambient ones. considering the amount of recent represses I’m not the only one,,, it was 11 years to his death last Friday 🥲 so pulled them out for a photo session 😉
Here’s most of his vinyl output all OG including the: Yin&Yang, Prism &Stevia on the first pic, could not fit more then 36 and had to stand on my bin for that,
Scroll left for The Ebi Zen material in a separate pic #susumoyokota #prism #ebizen #stevia #yokota by @e.rinon

Had to dig these out still think he had a huge influence on the young Throbbing Gristle esp Samtvogel guitar feedback noise echoing, was definitely channeled on their live gigs. RIP #gunterschnickert #skyrecords #brainrecords #ziguri #kraut #experimentalmusic by @e.rinon

Merry Christmas from Japan with this 1989 “Acid New Beat” piece coming from no less than Yasuko Agawa (LA Nights) and electronics by Yann Tomita who evidently had a 303 back in 1989. Not crazy about the remake of Lowdown on the A side but the 2 acid mixes are supa kool.
