After a full week in Milan, I’ll be disappearing into Italy for a bit.

Waving off, I found myself thinking about this project between Lightship and BYBORRE from a while back.

Colour, peace, simplicity… Everybody loves a gradient ❤️

Such a fun day shooting this beautiful @byborre textile by @odette_ex, together with @oxiedevisser , @neda.eneva, @eav.creations, @stijn.poelstra and Odette! Experimenting, moving things around, and finding the right balance between material, colour and space.

Always special to see BYBORRE textiles come to life like this.

Love this collaboration with Odette Ex 🖤

@odette_ex truly embraced what @byborre 's textiles can do, from layered 3D structures to rich color and graphic expression. She brings a strong, clear vision to the table, while staying open to dialogue and shared exploration throughout the process.

What stood out most to me was her attention to detail and genuine love for material and craftsmanship.

Proud of where this landed.

This collaboration started with a question: How can our 3D knitting technique be meaningfully applied within the interior sector?

@odette_ex joined us in the Textile Room to explore that potential.

Using our design tool, Odette worked closely with our Product Design Lead @ea.polman, driven by a clear vision while staying open to dialogue and shared exploration. With deep care for detail, material, and craftsmanship, she embraced what our textiles can do. The kind of creative energy we love to build with.

Together, they explored color, texture, and materiality, and how spaces shape the way we feel and live. This partnership demonstrates that when talent, technology, and design vision come together, there is room to push boundaries, innovate locally, and make an international impact.
