You feel calm by the ocean.You feel peace in a forest. You feel enchanted in a flower field. You feel awestruck under a starry sky. This state of being is called “Bliss!” 🌊 🌸

Did you know as soon as you connect to nature and start to feel relaxed and dare I say , blissful.. this isn’t a fluke.. it’s actually “science “ and your body biology kicking in! 🧬

The moment your body breathes in nature chemicals like your nervous system regulates. Stress hormones like Cortisol drop.. Your mind stops overthinking and your body remembers safety. 🫂

Your brain then starts to lavish you with all those delicious blissful chemicals that make you feel a jelly like and floaty such as Dopamine , Serotonin & Oxytocin .. what I call “The Bliss Chemicals!” 🧠

And once again that generous Mother Nature is not only giving you a home , food and the means to life but treating you spa days for free! 💆‍♀️ 🧖‍♀️ 🌲 🌺 🌎

For about 5 years I have been picking up and holding handfuls of soil while out walking. It may seem odd to most people and I never fully understood why, till the other day. And then it all made sense. 💡

When I first started to pick up soil , I was going through a hard time and felt lost. My hands were often uncomfortable and hot. I used to get this urge to pick up cold fresh earth and hold it. It felt cool, healing and any stress or pain I had would disappear. 👋

The other day while out walking holding handfuls of earth..I remembered that in the film Gladiator, Maximus Aurelius, used to pick up soil before each fight. ⚔️ 🛡

Apparently the scriptwriters said he did this to draw strength from the Earth and to feel a connection to his lost family! 🌱 💪

In the film his family had died. He had lost his home. All he had in the world was his hands and the earth. 💔

Through his hands and his connection to the soil, he fought and won his battles. He gained energy and felt a connection to something more powerful than himself. 🔌

And ultimately it made him feel at home. 🏡

This is our planet, our home and it was created to give us power, strength and connection when we need it! The soil holds all the electronic charge to keep the whole planet going, the mountains the forests the seas and yes…. little old you. 🔋

Earthing and using soil for power might seem crazy and weird to modern society…but if it’s good enough for a gladiator.. it’s good enough for us all.👣💪🛡⚔️❤️

It wasn’t personal. Life doesn’t work that way.

The heartbreaks.. The breakdowns.. The endings.. The losses.. they were given to you to get you to the good stuff! 💔❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥❤️💝

You have to crack open your heart to get to the good stuff. But the shit thing is it’s gonna hurt to crack it! 🥚🍳

Because everything you need and want ..love, peace, strength ..is already inside you. 🎁

You just forgot where life hid it .. and that’s ok. Now you know .. you can get cracking! 🐣

You’re gonna be ok, once you remember how magical you really are.✨

If you ever feel sad about letting go remember this simple truth ..

You’re going to feel sad about letting some things go. Its important to feel that and let sadness have its moment ..

But if those sad feelings linger too long ..remember this…every year, the trees let go their leaves to make way for something new. 🌲 🪾🍃🍁🍂 (maybe that’s why they are called leaves..)

autumn is magical because it lets us witness how beautiful letting go can can be.✨

Let yourself feel the sadness. Trust the quiet space it leaves behind and then allow yourself to enjoy the magical transformation unfolding before your eyes. 🌈

Energy , like love is never destroyed.. ..it only changes form. So perhaps whatever you lose will find its way back to you in another form..maybe even more beautiful than before. 💔❤️‍🩹❤️

You don’t just lose a dog when they die .. you also lose the best version of you who could just be loved for being the absolute dickhead that you are.

And the bigger the dickhead you are the more they seem to love you.

That’s what I miss and that’s who I am waiting to be again .. just a fur mummy singing in a car with a dog who just wants to go for a bloody walk and loves their human for the dickhead they love to be.

I hope on this planet we all experience that soul who lets you be that dickhead , because being able to act like one and still be loved.. that’s true happiness and it’s rare Af.

This will forever be the happiest time of my whole life and I miss it so much it physically hurts sometimes.

Till we meet again my little soul baby.. I promise to be an even bigger dickhead in the next life .. i love you so much and always will! 💕✨🧚🏼👼🏼🐶

In honour of World Suicide Prevention Day, I thought it was time to share this video & this book and hope it can help at least one person .. the way it helped me.

Never in my life have I read a book or watched a film that made me feel so seen, understood and HEALED. 📕 ❤️‍🩹

Getting this book for £1.99 from the charity shop is quite possibly one of the best things I’ve ever bought. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is literally medicine for the mind heart and soul. 💊 ✨

The animals speak to you like old friends who have known you forever and know just what to say to make you feel better!🦊🐴🫂

I passionately believe it should be taught in schools and put out in hospitals, surgeries and hospices because hurting people need to read this!

Sometimes, we simply need someone to listen and tell us everything will be okay. 🫂

There’s a saying .. you can’t have change without loss!

It’s the end of summer and it’s been a beauty.. but now it’s time to let go of those lighter nights and welcome in the fresh , brisk , crunchy and cosy autumn.. I for one will be sad to see it go but also looking forward to pumpkin spice season! 🌞👋🏼 🍂

We all want positive change but we often aren’t willing to let go of the things that we need to get that change !

If we observe the seasons and let things flow and change naturally.. then we wouldn’t struggle so much with the loss that comes with change.
