Over 200,000 hectares of lush, buzzing forest in Borneo Indonesia has been scorched to pure ash just this year.

Feeling helpless from across the world - I’ve gathered a list of the reliable non-profit organizations on the ground who have been out there fighting the fires and rescuing wildlife for months! Follow them and donate to help expand their resources and life support to the communities and life in the surrounding areas of #Kalimantan :

@iar_indonesia

Do your research of where you are donating to before you contribute, every human counts and every care you give DOES make a difference.

If you know of a verified organisation currently responding to the Kalimantan fires and accepting donations, let us all know in the comments and keep sharing.

Every persons awareness counts.

Reading that Africa just launched our own Earth Observation Instrument to help monitor our extremely volatile weather and lands ?!! Seriously a highlight of my week.

It made me so happy to read this heart electrifying headline because this type of technology and information can really do so much to help us prepare on the ground and put in place more active solutions! I thought I’d share it and all the excitement I bear.

Hoping to do deeper dives, bring the golden nuggets from the latest reports and really inform myself at least once a month.

Love Tamika
