Happy 40th Birthday to my beautiful bride, Lacey.

She is the kind of person who pours everything she has into the people she loves. She loves the Lord, adventurous, experience driven, incredibly kind, wise beyond her years, a true protector of peace, and is a night owl (without caffeine), never passes up a great dessert, continues to have the body of a 25 year old.

Our three kids are unbelievably blessed to have a Mom who loves them with her whole heart. Before we left for this trip, she quietly wrote each of our three kids a personal note for every single day we would be gone, 24 handwritten notes in all, just so they would know they were loved endlessly. She doesn’t just say she loves her family she shows it in thoughtful ways that often go unnoticed.

She said goodbye to her faithful companion Harley a few weeks ago, who was by her side for so many years followed by the loss of another family member 4 days later. Through it all, she continues to love deeply, stay strong, give selflessly, and make our family stronger making it about everyone else and making others feel the love always.

Watching you with our children reminds me every day how fortunate I am. You make our house a home, our adventures unforgettable, and our lives richer than I ever imagined.

As we celebrate this milestone in one of the most beautiful places on earth, I’m reminded that my greatest blessing isn’t Hawaii, it’s getting to spend life beside you.

Happy 40th Birthday, Lacey. Thank you for being my best friend, the most incredible Mom to our children, and the love of my life. I thank God every day that I get to walk through life with you.

It was a great day! Time with the ones I love, a Texas Tech WIN. Lacey made an awesome meal for dinner on the patio. The sunset was incredible and I know my Dad was involved with that sky while the Tech game was on. Ryan and I didn’t win the pickleball tournament, but we are coming for the youngins next year.
