Let me jump on the 2016-2026 trend. At that time I had been celiac for 8 years. A year later, I would discover that my daughter Aurora was also celiac😐

🤔What can you do if you and your kid have to eat gluten-free but love pizza and pasta?🍕

🙌🏻Learn how to make these dishes all by yourself it's a great start. You can learn how to make them taste great!

At that time (2016), I wanted to learn everything about gluten-free living.

I studied, followed people on social media who opened up a whole new world for me, tried many recipes, and learned so much.

Gluten-free food can be delicious😋

It is not difficult to cook gluten-free, but you must learn to follow some rules.

It took me a long time to make a good gluten-free pizza, but now both my daughter and I are thrilled with our homemade pizzas.

🇮🇹If you are an Italian food lover and you need to eat without gluten, in my feed you will find many easy recipes I make everyday for my family.

Hi! I am Gabriella and I live in the north of Italy, in a mediaeval town which is known for its legendary traditional cuisine: Bologna.

🤰🏼I was diagnosed celiac in 2008 when I was 4 months pregnant. It did not shock me at that moment, as my first thought was for my baby. But then I started to have food cravings.

🍕I missed all the good treats I was used to, all the tasty dishes of my traditions. So, I started my adventure in gluten free cuisine trying some secret family recipes adapting the ingredients, with great results.

🧬Another challenge came when my daughter was 8 years old: she was diagnosed with celiac too!

💪🏻My commitment to gluten-free cooking became a mission.

Today I’m not speaking as a celiac. I’m speaking as the mother of one.

There’s a question I often ask myself, and I know I’m not alone: What do teens with food restrictions miss the most in their social life?

Is it the food itself? Sure—it’s tough not having the freedom to eat what you want, when you want. It’s painful to sit through a party or a dinner and not be able to touch a thing.

💔But what hurts even more… is being left out.

What they miss most is INCLUSION.

Nothing feels worse than being the “different” one.

Always explaining. Always planning. Sometimes saying no to social events just to avoid feeling awkward or out of place.

They eat before the dinner… so they can sit there later with an empty plate.

As adults, maybe we learn to manage it. But at 16? They just want to belong. To join in. To be normal.

And sadly, bringing a homemade gluten-free meal to a restaurant—just to share a dinner with friends—is not allowed in most places in Italy. Unless it’s a sealed product from a certified brand, with a receipt? Forget it.

That beautiful gluten-free bread I bake for my daughter at home? She can’t take it with her.

I love to cook for her. But more than anything, I want her to feel free. Free to say yes to an invite. Free to share a meal. Free to feel included.

I believe we can change this—starting with awareness. If you don’t know, you can’t understand.

And that’s why we’re here.
To share what gluten-free really means.
To open eyes and hearts.
To help the world see how little it takes to make someone feel welcome.

✨ Inclusion is a choice. Let’s make it together.

💬 What do you think teens with celiac disease miss the most?

👀 Let’s raise awareness—tag someone who needs to hear this.

Imagine the smell of fresh basil pesto filling your kitchen…🌿

A soft, savory gluten-free pesto cake, packed with the flavour of basil, extra virgin olive oil and cheese. It’s incredibly easy to make and perfect for lunch, a picnic, an aperitivo… or simply to have something delicious ready at home.

And the best part? No complicated steps, just mix, bake and enjoy.

🌿Ingredients:
• 180 g gluten-free flour
• 1 sachet of instant baking powder for savory pies
• 100 ml milk
• 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 100 g grated cheese (I used Pecorino Romano, but Parmesan works beautifully too)
• 150 g pesto (homemade if you have it!)
• 3 eggs
• 50 g pine nuts (I didn't have any this time)
• Salt & black pepper, to taste

Method:
Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until you have a smooth, thick batter.

Pour into a loaf pan lined with baking paper and bake at 185°C / 365°F for about 45 minutes. Check with a toothpick — it should come out clean.

Let it cool slightly, slice and enjoy!💚

Would you make this pesto cake? Save this recipe for later and tell me in the comments! 👇

Homemade Gianduia Cream… because some Italian traditions are just too good to resist. 🤎

Gianduia is a beloved Italian specialty from Piedmont, where hazelnuts and chocolate have been a match made in heaven for generations.

This homemade version is incredibly silky, rich and so simple to make.

Ingredients

• 60 g (½ cup) toasted hazelnuts
• 100 g (1 cup) dark chocolate
• 100 g (½ cup) sugar
• 70 g (2.5 oz) butter
• 100 g (½ cup) milk

Method
Using a food processor, grind the sugar and hazelnuts until finely ground. Add the chocolate and process again.

Add the milk and butter, then cook gently over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cream thickens.

And then comes the hardest part: deciding how to eat it! 😋

Spread it on a slice of bread, swirl it into yogurt, spoon it over your favorite cake… or, let's be honest, eat it straight from the spoon!

👉🏻How would you enjoy your homemade gianduia cream first?

👉🏻Save this recipe for when you need a little taste of Italy at home. 🇮🇹

Have you ever tried ricotta and figs the Roman way? 🇮🇹

Did you know that ricotta and figs are a traditional combination in Rome?

If you're lucky enough to have some good gluten-free bread, even better if it's homemade! (you can find plenty of recipes on my profile ), you have to try this simple late-summer or early-fall snack.

Just spread a slice of bread with fresh ricotta, add a few slices of the last figs of the season, drizzle with a little honey and finish with a sprinkle of pine nuts.

That’s it! Everyday Italian cooking doesn't need to be complicated to be delicious.

🤗 If it's your first time here, hi! I'm an Italian 🇮🇹 celiac mom of a celiac daughter. On my page, I share the easy gluten-free recipes I make for my family, inspired by Italian home cooking.

👉🏻 Save this Reel to try this delicious combination before fig season is over, and follow me for more easy Italian gluten-free recipes!

Pears and cheese: one of Italy’s simplest, and most delicious, combinations🍐🧀

This easy appetizer is a classic Italian pairing, it takes just a few ingredients, and it’s naturally gluten-free. Perfect for a last-minute dinner with friends!

There’s even an Italian saying about it:

“Al contadin non far sapere quanto è buono il formaggio con le pere.”

Literally: “Don’t let the farmer know how good cheese is with pears.” 😄

The combination of pears and cheese has very ancient roots. While the Romans already knew and appreciated it, historians believe it became particularly popular during the Middle Ages.

And in Italian cuisine, you’ll still find this pairing everywhere: in sweet and savory pies, pasta and rice dishes, salads… and, of course, as a simple appetizer like this one.

Because sometimes, Italian cooking doesn’t need to be complicated. ❤️

👉🏻Have you ever tried pears and cheese together? Tell me in the comments! 👇

👉🏻Save this idea for your next dinner with friends and follow @easycrumb for more simple Italian gluten-free recipes.

Got a few ripe apricots? Turn them into this easy Italian summer dessert. 🍑☀️

Just a handful of ingredients, a few minutes of preparation and you have a light, delicious treat that tastes like summer.

Here’s how I make them:

🍑 Cut the apricots in half and remove the pits.

🧈 Brush them with melted butter and drizzle with a little honey.

🔥 Bake in a preheated fan oven at 180°C / 350°F for 8–10 minutes, until tender but still holding their shape.

🥣 Meanwhile, mix the ricotta with just a little honey.

Let the baked apricots cool slightly, then top each half with a dollop of honeyed ricotta.

I finished mine with slivered almonds, but you could also use pistachios or, if you feel like indulging… chocolate chips! 🍫

Two little tips:

👉 Choose apricots that are ripe but still firm. Overripe ones can become too soft in the oven.

👉 For a delicious Italian twist, try sprinkling them with a little marjoram, a herb often used in Ligurian cuisine. It might sound unusual with fruit, but it works beautifully!

Simple ingredients, seasonal fruit and very little effort, this is the kind of easy Italian home cooking I love. ❤️

👉🏻Save this recipe for the next time you have beautiful summer apricots! 👉🏻👉🏻Would you try the marjoram version or stick with almonds?

Naturally gluten-free.
