Humpday Fishing today! Today was frustrating, but fun. I had five bites today, but was only able to land two of them. The others were hopelessly wrapped up in the brush and I had to break them off. As someone I know recently said, “It beats sitting on the couch!” I’m fishing very heavy cover which is the learning part of this and that’s the fun part. My otter buddies stopped by to say hello too. 😁 by @easydfishing

No Humpday Fishing this week due to the weather. But guess what, I’m retired so I can go fishing any day of the week I want! 😂 So, this week it’s Fishy Friday and today was fantastic. I fished a different lake all summer and caught largemouth almost exclusively. Today it was back to spotted bass. Missed a few, lost a few, caught a bunch and one of them was a good one.

A late post (and more to come), but Alicia and I took a mini trip last week and stayed at The Pisgah Inn. This was the view from our window the morning of 9/11 - a cross in the distance by some sort of cloud formation. The Inn was also flying the American flag. Considering my age and the things I’ve seen through the years and where we are now, I’ve never been more proud of this flag, what it stands for and as Americans we need to protect it and what it stands for at all costs. Humpday Fishing again, but this time it’s a two parter. Went early as usual and home by lunch, then went back this evening with Alicia for a little waterfalls and fishing evening. My lucky charm comes through again. 😉 by @easydfishing

No Humpday Fishing this week. Instead we performed a magic trick and turned a 2002 Honda CR-V into a 2026 Toyota 4Runner in Supersonic Red. My daily driver got quite an upgrade with a 25 year improvement. 😁 by @easydfishing

Late post of Humpday Fishing for this week. No bigs this week, but the Bandito Bug showed out. Here’s just a few including a wonky little smallmouth. I knew they were in here, but I have no idea how to target them. Maybe that’s the next challenge. 😉 by @easydfishing

Humpday Fishing continues this week! The absolute best aspect of retirement, and the carrot that kept me going while I was working, is being able to fish during the week and not have to put up with the weekend crowd. 😁 by @easydfishing
