Two cultures, one unforgettable Sydney celebration 🤍⁠

Waruni and Robert brought Sri Lankan tradition and modern romance together in a wedding that felt completely their own. Beginning with a beautiful blended ceremony at @pieronesydney beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the couple intertwined a traditional Poruwa ceremony with a Western civil service, surrounded by family, meaningful heirlooms and their very important guest, Snowy 🐾⁠

Then it was across the harbour for sunset cocktails and an elegant reception at the Sydney Opera House, complete with all-white styling, incredible food, a cake handmade by Waruni’s mum and plenty of dancing ✨⁠

Ten years, two families and one beautifully personal celebration 🤍⁠

Chris and Jirada’s Adelaide wedding brought together Greek, Cypriot and Thai influences, beginning with an emotional ceremony at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, where Jirada’s two sons walked alongside her before standing as Chris’ groomsmen.⁠
⁠
From portraits at the National Wine Centre to a 190-guest celebration filled with Mediterranean food, traditional Greek music and a surprise performance from the bride herself, every part of the day felt unmistakably theirs.⁠

Behind the lens, @mitchaphotography captured the moments they saw and the ones they didn’t, with Jirada describing them as so much more than photographers throughout the entire journey.⁠
