Tis the season to be Jolly 🎶 🎄

@gingerscocktailbar is a cute and festive pop-up bar here until Dec 24. We had such a fun time there! You can even write a letter to Santa, and if you’ve been good this year, you may even get a response back 😝. They do get busy tho so make sure to book your tables in advance!

Our festive drinks:
• Snow globe frosty ☃️ (so fun and you get to diy immersing your snowman)
• Cranberry orange sparkler
• Festive hot chocolate (this was a delicious non-alcoholic option!)

Come bake some apple pies with us!! 🍎 🥧

We had an amazing time at our caramel apple pie baking class today. Our instructor Sheila was amazing with her demos and made sure we were supported throughout the entire process 😄. We got to take home our own apple pies to bake fresh, and even got a slice of pie from the event shop! Oh and did I mention? We got to enjoy our class with a nice glass of mimosa 😋. We both got grapefruit for ours!

⭐️ La Petite Colline/Shan Shan Cafe ⭐️

It’s been a while since my last post 😆. This weekend we visited Shan Shan cafe. We were amazed by their fresh baked pastry selection. Definitely head there early as some of the more popular items do sell out quick!

Had a KILLER time at @lavenueresto with honestly the most delicious brunch I’ve ever had. The plates come in huge portions but trust me, you’re going to want to try and finish it all because it’s THAT good 😋. This is one of the few spots where I’ll say the 1-2 hour lineups are actually worth it! So here’s what we ordered:

•Steak and eggs $24.96 (eggs benedict dish)
•Truffled duck $23.79 (my personal fav! This benedict dish is served on French toast, which was such a good combination)
•Pink salmon benny $19.87 (perfect for a lighter palette)

What’s more perfect than starting the day off at a cute French cafe 😊? Larrys features small plates with a great selection of beers, wine, and of course coffee ☕️. Here’s what we ordered:

Small Plates:
•Rare beef and chimmichuri $20 (This was really delish! But probably a weird thing to get first thing in the morning 😅)
•Mackeral spaghetti $17 (unique and flavorful!)

Breakfast:
•Two scrambled eggs $7 + Mushrooms $5 (this combo is a must get. I don’t know how they do it but these simple ingredients are totally elevated. The eggs are soo fluffy and mushrooms so flavorful 🤤)

Truly one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal. The restaurant features French cuisine in a set menu, with featured selection of meats. The restaurant has a warm and cozy vibe perfect for intimate gatherings, and lets not forget the unique BYOB option for some wine 🍷 and dine 😌. Here’s what we ordered (prices are shown as a la carte):

Appetizers:
•Goat cheese profiteroles $12 (such a unique combination of flavors!)
•Salmon gravalax $12

Main courses:
•Rack of lamb $38 (this was to DIE for! The portion was amazing, and the lamb was so flavorful and tender)
•Fish of the day $30

Dessert:
•Apple tartin $7
•Death by chocolate $7 (oh yes please 🤤)

Had a lovely night @chottomattetor with my girls. They have a lovely patio space located near union station serving up Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. They have some tasty drinks and creative desserts as well so definitely check them out! Here’s what we ordered:

To drink 🍹:
•Jasmine Fantasy $18 with gin, elderflower, tonic water and pink grapefruit

A la carte:
•Chotto ceviche $19.5 branzino sashimi (citrusy tasting)
•Asada da tira $29 slow cooked bbq beef (this was really good! beef was tender and the sauce was delicious)
•Pollo den miso $21 miso marinated chicken
•Barriguita de chanchitp $24 pork belly
•Spicy tuna tartare cut roll $19

Dessert:
•Magical chocolate ball $14.5 (beautiful dessert that melts before your eyes 😍)

Been meaning to check out @taka_sushi_whiterock for a while now! We made an impromptu visit today while deciding to go for a long drive 😋. Their aburi and sashimi were absolutely amazing, and did not dissapoint! So glad I finally had the chance to check them out 😊. Here’s what we ordered:

Aburi (cant go wrong with anything you order here):
•aburi sablefish $3.75 x 3
•aburi foie gras $7.75 x 3 (by far my most favorite, literal explosion 💥)
•aburi scallop $3.75 x 3

Rolls:
•snowy rocky $14 (this was really good! with chopped scallop filling and topped with unagi 🤤)

Sashimi:
•madai sashimi $24 (thinly sliced and soo fresh)
•uni sashimi $10 x 3 (quality 💯)

Nigiri:
•chutoro nigiri $8.75 x 3
•hamachi toro $4.6 x 3

One of my fav spots to hit up recently @noah.s_cafe because their food is just 🔥. Theyre an eclectic restaurant and have some delicious and unique dishes on their menu that you should definitely try! They have some amazing and fun drinks on the menu as well ☺️. Here’s what we ordered:

Appetizers:
•Prosciutto wrapped figs with ricotta $4/pc (very unique, recommend to try)
•Beef tenderloin tataki and foie gras $28 (sooo good i wish there was more)
•Uni creme croquette $18 (fully loaded)

Mains:
•Uni creme pasta $30 (must order! This is sooo good)
•Scallop risotto $28 (delicious 😋)
•Duck (asian style flavors)

@burdockandco focuses on using seasonal ingredients with dishes showcasing their raw material. Their tasting menu is artfully put together for $69/pp. They also have a variety of beers and drinks on tap including The Duchess (delicious beer) which was our fav of the night. Here’s what was featured on our tasting menu:

•Corn salad (this was by far our favorite, the corn was so sweet and the entire dish was light and refreshing)
•Side stripe shrimp (like a mini lobster roll)
•Cauliflower
•Confit halibut
•Chocolate tart (This was delicious 🍫)

Finally got to try @labattoir_van having been on my list for a while 😁. Located in gastown featuring Pacific Northweatern cuisine, and make sure to check out their cocktails as well. There were too many dishes we wanted to try so we ended up sharing an extra main course together 😅 and leaving in a huge food coma. They start you off with their bread basket which is one of the best I’ve had! Here’s what we ordered:

Appetizers:
•Baked pacific oysters 🦪 $25 + extra $6 (this was absolute bomb 🔥MUST TRY!!!)

Mains:
•Steak Diane $48
•Tandoori style sablefish $45 (super tender)
•Quail with grilled foie gras $44 (my favorite main!)
