Squash pancakes are a perfect gut-friendly alternative when you’re craving something warm, fluffy, and sweet. 🥞

👌🏼 They’re perfect for breastfeeding moms, hungry toddlers, and babies who are starting solids (around 10 months old)

Here’s the recipe:
👉 1 cup cooked pumpkin or squash
👉 4-5 eggs
👉 Heaping tbsp cinnamon, optional (we love using @eatpluck Cinnabrain here😋)

Blend eggs and pumpkin together. The amount of water in squash varies, so you may have to play around with the ratio of egg to squash.

Heat your cast iron skillet so it’s sizzling hot. (Test by dropping a bit of water on the pan)

🧈 Add 1 TBSP butter or coconut oil and pour your batter. These pancakes need to really cook + set before flipping so leave them a little longer than you think you need to. Then flip!

Finish on the second side for another 1-2 minutes.

Add heaps of butter and enjoy! 🤤

🧠 Comment PLUCK to get you some cinnabrain

Comment MILK for my course Milk Magic🪄
👉 This one is for all my breastfeeding mamas who want to heal their guts and their babes guts too. Using this method changed everything for me, I hope you love it 💞

Love always,

Someone says the wrong thing and it feels like they set you off.

But Grant Dziak says the trigger was already inside you.

In this clip, Grant explains why other people may hit a trigger, but the trigger itself is something we carry. That does not mean excusing what someone else did. It means recognizing the part of the reaction that belongs to us.

After his divorce, Grant reached the uncomfortable realization that he was the common denominator in every bad thing he experienced.

We talk about why the brain resists change to save effort, how to find gratitude for people you believe hurt you, and why unexpressed expectations can become premeditated resentments.

On Everyday Ancestral, Grant and I also cover the three-step reset for the middle of an argument, how a partner can mirror your old patterns, and why sunlight and human connection still matter.

How much of who you are is actually a choice, and how much is just a reaction you have repeated so many times it started to feel like identity?

In this episode of Everyday Ancestral, I sit down with Grant Dziak, a mental performance coach and perspective specialist who helps people understand the patterns driving how they think, react, and live.

This conversation is about programming, nervous system regulation, blame, relationships, self-awareness, and the uncomfortable but freeing realization that we are often the common denominator in the patterns we keep repeating.

Grant explains that much of our behavior is built from old programming. The way we respond in relationships, the way we resist change, the excuses that feel completely legitimate, and even the way we interpret someone else’s words can all be shaped by past experiences.

But the hopeful part is this: once you can see the pattern, you can interrupt it and begin to choose something different.

We talk about why blame feels easier than self-examination, why unfamiliar change can feel threatening, how to pause before reacting, and why one breath can create the space needed to respond differently.

This episode is for general information only and is not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before making changes to your care.

Not all cinnamon is created equal, and “true cinnamon” isn’t necessarily the best choice for everything 🌿☕

Ceylon cinnamon gets a lot of attention for its delicate flavor and reputation as the healthier option. But Cassia brings something different to the table: that bold, warm, sweet cinnamon flavor we all know and love.

When we created Pluck CinnaBrain, we chose Cassia for a reason. Its rich flavor makes everyday foods like coffee, oatmeal, smoothies, and baked goods more delicious, while the addition of nutrient-dense bovine brain brings ancestral nourishment into a familiar daily habit. 🧠✨

Of course, flavor isn’t everything. Sourcing, quality testing, and serving size matter too. That’s why we carefully selected our organic Cassia cinnamon from Vietnam, prioritizing both flavor and thoughtful sourcing.

Because the best nutrition isn’t the kind that sits untouched in your pantry. It’s the kind you actually enjoy using every day. ❤️

💡 Curious why we chose Cassia over Ceylon and what makes CinnaBrain different?

5 second gut friendly snack 👇

Organic Popcorn + a little good quality fat + @eatpluck organ meat seasoning = one of the easiest ways to sneak more nutrient dense foods into your day.

Organ meats are packed with B vitamins, iron, zinc, selenium and other nutrients that support energy, metabolism and your body’s natural detox pathways.

And no, it doesn’t taste like liver 😂

This is probably the easiest way to start eating more organs without actually eating organs.

Use code: JOYSOMERS for a discount

Save this for your next snack attack 🍿

Two cups of broccoli, tucked inside a food your kid already trusts🥦 These cheesy chicken patties are one of our favorite bridge foods for picky eaters. The texture is familiar, the flavor is mild, and every bite carries veggies, protein, and organ meat nutrition from @eatpluck Zesty Garlic

Because small, low-pressure exposures like this are how a palate grows 🌱

✨Save this for later so it’s ready for your next grocery run

CHEESY BROCCOLI CHICKEN PATTIES
Makes about 15 small patties
What you’ll need:
1 lb ground chicken (or turkey)
2 cups broccoli, cooked soft and finely chopped
1½ to 2 cups shredded mozzarella
¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
¾ cup finely chopped shallots or green onions
1-2 eggs
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp Pluck Zesty Garlic
¾ tsp salt

How to make them:
Preheat your oven to 390°F and line a baking sheet with parchment. Add everything to a bowl and mix until well combined. Scoop about ¼ cup of the mixture and press into small patties, roughly 2 inches wide. Bake about 15 minutes. Flip and bake another 8 to 10 minutes until golden.

Serve with a dip they already love. Ketchup, ranch, or plain yogurt all work, and letting them dip puts control back in their hands

If they don’t eat it the first time, that’s completely normal. Keep offering it beside a safe food. Every exposure counts, even if it’s just a sniff
