The summer I got brain surgery 🌞
Hiii I’ve been debating sharing this for a bit and happily things are better now so here it goes.
I had a brain bleed in the bathroom of my economics class 10 months ago. (Shoutout MAF 320) This winter I found out I had a gorgeous hemorrhaging macroadenoma. A large non cancerous bleeding brain tumor in my pituitary and optic region of my brain. (We named her Edna🌝) This led to the absolute whirlwind that was the last few months
I tried to stay calm and decided to continue going to school, staying monitored and be like totally super chill and normal
I tried but in early spring, it grew very suddenly, leading to damage to my optic nerves and I started to suffer my unexpected, 2nd then 3rd continuous brain bleeds.
This halted my life immediately. I had to stop most of my courses and take leave from the sport I loved more than anything.
Fuck it was insane but I leaned on the ones around me trying to be positive and distracted!
Sooo, I underwent major brain surgery at the beginning of this summer. And have spent all of it recovering from this procedure, and I am really really happy to say I am officially tumor free and healthier. :)) And god seriously I couldn’t be more relieved this chapter of my life is finally closing and I couldn’t be happier that I’m here.

What I really wanted to post about was to thank my friends and family (mom 🤍 more than anyone, for absolutely everything, I love you).
And also to the best of people. My friends and my girls.
From every strand of my hair you braided, every lonely ER trip late night asleep with me in the tiny gurney setting off my monitor, every distraction with Tomodachi life or gossip, every hospital stay you tried to stay past visiting hours, the ambulance rides and honestly being the positive beautiful faces always there, I’ll forever ever be grateful.
I love you all more than you’ll know.
