We lost a good one last week. This girl took care of her her kids like it was her job and loved so hard till the very end. We are so sad and will miss Brigitte terribly but she had 12 amazing years and we are so grateful she could spend most of them with our family. by @ebabshire

To the women of Odyssey Jiu-Jitsu; your strength, resilience, and courage do more than shape your Jiu Jitsu … they inspire everyone around you. You show up, push limits, and rise again and again. Our academy is stronger, more driven, and more complete because of you. Keep fighting, keep growing, and know that your presence here matters. You are powerful. You are seen. You are unstoppable. 💞

The Top Lock is a head and arm control position that is achieved from the guard. It allows you as the guard player control over your opponents posture with a closed lock of your legs on their upper body with the added benefit of isolating the arm and deleting the shoulder girdle. The reason why this position is so strong is because it eliminates any gross fast movements needed to isolate an arm while providing very strong guard control. From this position there are many attacks you can achieve such as various armbars, triangles, sweeps, and back takes. This is a position we teach heavily at our Basics Program. 🔝🔒 taken in Odyssey Jiu-Jitsu by @ebabshire
