5x Australian Champion 🏆🇦🇺

My goal this year was to win my 5th consecutive National Title. I really liked the sound of number 5 😂

Each year the women keep pushing the level higher and higher, and this year was no exception. With such a small swell and mostly lefts, the conditions made things extra challenging for me. I’ve spent most of my bodyboarding life developing my riding on rights, so this year I was determined to make my riding more symmetrical and become more comfortable on my lefts.

My heart was absolutely racing the whole final and I was SO relieved and stoked to get the win! 🥹🏆

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better group of women to compete alongside. The level keeps getting better, but so does the support and friendship between us. We push each other in the water, learn from each other and genuinely want to see each other do well. Women’s bodyboarding is such a cool place to be a part of right now, and I’m so grateful for all the girls who make competing so much fun.

A massive thank you to my family for supporting me through this whole journey ❤️

And a huge thank you to @science.gyroll.viper.australia for all your support and for keeping me equipped to do what I love.

Thank you to @surfingaus , all the event organisers, officials, judges, water patrol, volunteers, photographers and sponsors for putting on such a great Nationals. It takes a huge team behind the scenes to make these events happen and it’s very appreciated!

5 in a row. I’m pretty stoked. 🥹🏆🇦🇺

And now that Nationals is coming to WA next year… I guess I’ll have to come back for another one 😉💙💛 taken in Newcastle, New South Wales by @ebonyschell3

Currently on my way to Nationals in Newcastle, waves are looking small, but that's it in competition, you never know what the ocean will serve up. A bit of a change from my last comp at the Shark Island Challenge. Definitely helps to surf in all conditions. Here's a couple of smaller waves from around home 😊 by @ebonyschell3

Carnage at the Island women's final
The 2026 Shark Island Challenge delivered two days of heavy slabs, mutant barrels and world-class bodyboarding at one of the most dangerous waves on the planet — Shark Island in Cronulla, NSW.

After a stacked field and nonstop action across the weekend, Ben Sawyer claimed the men’s title while Isabella Souza took out the women’s division in challenging, powerful conditions.

From massive pits to brutal wipeouts and clutch rides under pressure, this year’s event showcased exactly why the Shark Island Challenge remains one of bodyboarding’s most iconic competitions.

After not knowing if I’d make it to my dream event, the 2026 @sharkislandchallenge , I made the last minute decision to go for it — and it turned into one of the best experiences of my life.
Massive thank you to @jenkinsbrosremovals for jumping in last minute to help cover my entry fee. Events like this rely on support from amazing local people and businesses, and I’m so grateful. Huge thanks as well to @earthwholefoods for helping make the trip possible.
Arriving in Sydney, the swell was already pumping with solid barrels on offer, and by comp day it was absolutely heaving. Watching the girls charge 6-10ft Shark Island was one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever seen.
Going into the comp, my goal was to surf smart, settle the nerves early, and build momentum through the heat. I was stoked to finish 2nd alongside some of my idols.
This event was such a huge step forward for women’s bodyboarding. The women’s division still has a long way to go, but putting the girls out in real conditions where they can truly showcase what they can do was so special to be part of.
So grateful to everyone who supported me, encouraged me, and helped make this dream happen ❤️ Huge thanks to my dad and @joshdelegh for sharing the trip with me.
Thankyou @science.gyroll.viper.australia for providing me with the best gear to help me charge on the day!

HUGE congratulations to the absolute legend @ebonyschell3 for securing 2nd place at the Shark Island Challenge 2026! 🥈🦈

Taking on the Island is no joke on a normal day, but charging through those heavy, 6ft slabbing conditions and making it to the podium is absolutely next level.

Everyone drop some love for Ebony in the comments!

Western Australia is known for its rugged coastlines and large open ocean swells. Spend enough time in the Indian Ocean and you begin to feel pretty darn comfortable in about any situation you find yourself out in the deep blue.

That’s why this year’s straight out female final has had a fifth competitor added into the lineup, a young gun, an absolute weapon on the rise, Western Australia’s @ebonyschell3

Preconditioned by her own environment, Ebony’s ability is only outshone by her wonderful personality and demeanour.
It’s going to be interesting to see how youth fares against experience in this year’s SIC battle.

Supporting Ebony in this year’s challenge are the legends over at @jenkinsbrosremovals , the best removal company in the west.

Three women. Three different stories.
One beautiful Airbnb, a surfer, a photographer, and a whole lot of creativity pulling it all together.

These are the kinds of collaborations that light me up. Slow mornings, chasing light, telling stories through spaces and people. The kind that feel natural, easy, and full of personality.

I’d love to do more of this in 2026. Working with beautiful stays, farms, Airbnbs, brands, creatives.. capturing the feeling of a place, not just what it looks like.

More storytelling. More connection. More creating alongside good people. taken in Falcon Beach by @ebonyschell3
