In my 40s I’m learning resilience, strength and embracing who I am. I’m trying to own my curls, my body and my voice. Learning that forgiveness can be with or without access, with or without out an apology - so I can release that pain and find peace and freedom. I’m standing up for myself, even if it’s hard or uncomfortable or makes others uncomfortable. Even when it looks dramatic, because I am not going to be quiet anymore and will continue to defend who I am and my heart. I’m facing truths and taking accountability. I’m feeling empowered to take up the space and make the noise when I feel hurt or wronged. And I’m grateful and humbled by my tribe. I finally feel safe in my world and the people I have around me that shower me with love, that take the time to listen and understand me. That ASK the questions, that seek the clarity. That call me out and challenge me to grow and learn. I never want to stop growing and learning. And to those of you who left without being curious, without seeking clarity or coming to me first, I hope you have a beautiful life too. I’m still going to pour myself into the people I love and that love me back. It will no longer be a one way street. If you want my respect, loyalty and love you have to match it. And my door will still be open to anyone who leads with kindness and seeks truth. I’m only a year and a half into this decade but I feel like it’s going to be a good one. by @ebtehaal

Brows ✔️ @liathetattooer is a freakin’ magician. Thank you so much for the brow refresh. If you’re looking for cosmetic tattoos or want to decorate your body like I have with the most beautiful tattoos go to Lia. She’s amazing. #facetats #onfleek by @ebtehaal

Saturday Night 💜 @orlandocitysc Game was incredible. Thank you @garthvader777 for such an amazing and memorable night for us and the kids. The sky was gorgeous, the goats were adorable, the game was so fun (we won!) and the company was top tier. It was such a fun night for us all. To top it off it was Dungeon Crawler Carl themed which Grant has finished reading (I’m still working on it) but after every few chapters he would tell the kids all about what was happening (leaving out any not kid friendly parts), so they were THRILLED. 🤩 by @ebtehaal
FIRST DAY of 2nd and 5th Grades! It’s hard to believe this is Rowan’s LAST first day of elementary school and the LAST first day going to the same school as Layla until he’s a SENIOR in High school. Time is a thief! But I’m so grateful to have had such an amazing summer with these two. Grant and I are so proud of them and while we wish time would slow down, it’s been amazing watching them grow into the wonderful, creative, bright, energetic little creatures they’ve become. We couldn’t do it without our village and are super grateful for all the love and support we’re surrounded by. ❤️ #bottlerocketastronaunts by @ebtehaal
One year ago @kat_ykins and @patrickmcdonald got us tickets to Typhoon Lagoon for end of summer back to school mini vacation. We ended up getting rained out, having to leave and they offered us all free tickets to come back, that expired.. today. So of course in true procrastination form we waited until the last minute to get all us all together and included @mess.marvelous and @joe_hamm_89 to have the BEST DAY EVER. We’re ready for school now! Thank you Katrick! And the Hamms! We had an amazing day. 🌊 by @ebtehaal
HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY LAY BAE! Thank you ALL for making this little girl’s bday so special. We had the BEST time. She felt so loved. Grant KILLED it with the food. It was such an amazing day and I can’t be more grateful to all of the love and support from our family, friends, our chosen family we truly appreciate and love everyone of you. 🥹 ❤️ by @ebtehaal
Layla donated her hair to @wigs.for.kids !!! We couldn’t have done it without @mess.marvelous or inspiration from her Sissy @kim.moo.die . While Layla LOVED her long beautiful blonde hair and took really good care of it, once she heard about donating it and the joy it could bring other kids who really need it, she was determined to get it done to give her hair new life to someone who could love it just as much as her. Emily even put blue and pink in her hair for her birthday party this weekend to match the Stitch and Angel theme 💙💕 - we’re obsessed. I’m so proud of Layla and so grateful to Emily and Wigs for Kids for helping remind Layla how important it is to give back and be kind. by @ebtehaal
Era of the curl. Really embracing this curly girl season. It’s probably the LONGEST I’ve ever gone with out straightening, bleaching or even dying all the grays. Just out here living my best natural hair life. And I’m so thankful to all the love I’m getting. Grant has always encouraged me to let the curls curl. And once I’ve mastered DAY TWO curls (halp) I’ll be unstoppable! lol. I don’t see myself never straightening again. But def enjoying the curl freedom for now! by @ebtehaal
Don’t get in between a Layla and her food. I have watched this 800 times. Thank you @erika.hufff for sending me this from 2021. Can’t believe our baby girl is turning 7!!!! #besties by @ebtehaal
