Hej everyone 😊 A quick introduction: You can learn a little more about me personally under the photo over there ⮕ Welcome to my @eclectic_smithy Here you'll find lovingly, slowly, and individually crafted jewelry made of silver, sea glass, clay, crystals, stones and from time to time also of stainless steel and aluminum. You'll also find memorial jewelry from me, which I craft just as personally, magically and lovingly according to your wishes. Either with a portion of the ashes or some of your beloved pet's fur. Fabric scraps, for example, from a blanket or cuddly toy, can also be incorporated. Feel free to write to me. I look forward to your message and also to your visit to my Shop on Etsy, you'll find the link in my bio. Much love & light, Mone ♡ #selftaughtmetalsmith #silberschmieden #silver #necklace #silber #galgoespañol #doglove #bookworm #clayart #ceramics #kindness #empathy #creativity #artist #vegan #greyhounds #greyhoundlove #mourning #memorialjewelry #art by @eclectic_smithy
Hej 😊 I'm Mone. A peaceful, vegan and detail-loving dog mom, a nature lover from Hamburg, a bookworm, deeply in love with my beloved island of Amrum, and I'm so happy you're reading these lines right now. This profile is about my art as a form of therapy. The picture isn't that old, but I have a buzz cut now, as you can see in my stories from time to time. My heart beats for ceramics, wood (I trained as a carpenter many, many years ago, before I decided on a career in psychosocial work), and glass – but the most for metal jewelry, which moves us and, in the best case, triggers magical feelings full of glimmer. I also love photography, being by myself and music. In 2012 I founded the blog "meine 7 leben" and have since written over 200 posts in which I put my emotions into words. I've been chronically ill since childhood, severely disabled, and live 24/7 with many symptoms such as severe pain, spasticity, and severe fatigue because of primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis, CRPS, hEDS, Clusterheadache, ME/CFS and other "daily demons". An early stage of Cervical Cancer has been part of my life since Christmas 2024. Very late, at the age of 43, I received a diagnosis of Asperger’s (high-functioning) autism - or rather, since the term "Asperger's" is no longer preferred for very good and important reasons: I am autistic. Though it had already been suspected for a good year prior; so much makes sense to me now because of it, and unlike the other physical diagnoses, this realization is a blessing for me: I am NOT wrong, too much, too little, or strange. Unfortunately, I can no longer pursue my job as a team manager in the psychosocial field as a Pain & Palliative Nurse. Making art is a kind of a deeply calming process and a "rock in the storm" for me, especially as a woman living on the autistic spectrum. So, over the past few years, I've been learning a very engaging form of slowness. I'm grateful for EVERY good moment in which my body can cope with this. It's all the more wonderful when I can bring joy to other people (like you) with my one of a kind jewelry pieces. All the best, Mone ♡ #silver #kindness #empathy #selftaughtmetalsmith #spoonie by @eclectic_smithy
My beloved fur-kids ♡ Grief reveals the immense scale of the love we hold for those who have passed - albeit with such a cruel intensity and completely unmasked. And grief, as individual and unique as it is for every living being, offers a chance to sense how open-hearted, patient, and loving we are with ourselves during a time when the world is turned upside down and nothing is as it used to be. Since Pedro’s death five days ago, I see the world through different eyes. Searching for and unearthing beauty helps me keep going. And I recognize you in all the wonders of this world, no matter how small or great. In sunbeams and snowflakes. In the wind and raindrops. In the flowers and trees. In grains of sand and stones. In birds and butterflies. In feathers and familiar sounds. In spiderwebs and clouds. In the sea and the dunes. You are the winter (Kolja was born and died in winter) and the summer (Pedro was born and died in summer). And all the magical times between. May you carry this calm, this peace, this lightness, freedom, and vastness within you forever, you wonderful souls. I will love you eternally - for my whole lifetime and beyond death. You have simply flown on ahead. ♡ #grief #love #petloss #loveofmylife #theyrescuedme ♡ by @eclectic_smithy
My Pedrolino ♡ Our many last times before you died are now becoming the many first times after you died. My love. On Thursday evening, Kolja picked you up on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. You flew off peacefully in your home and in our midst. My best friend. I am so grateful that you stayed with us all night until the next morning. I was lying next to you, all the windows and doors were open. The next morning it started to storm, until today. As with Kolja then, the wind shows us that your soul is now free. My beloved dog child. All that I wanted to tell you, I gave them in a letter to the last trip. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for almost 14 years together...your whole life. After 17½ years of being a dog mom for you and Kolja, I am getting to know myself all over again, and all that supposed freedom so many people talk about isn't for me. I made a conscious choice to live with you — a choice filled with responsibility, love, and patience. I do not manage to describe here what I feel, what is broken inside me, how empty and full of grief my life now feels, even though I know that we have took the right decision, my love. My soulmate. All the gratitude, infinite love and countless memories describe our connection to each other. Grieving is like jumping in puddles: sometimes you sink right in, and at other times you move through it with ease — and it is a sign of love that reaches beyond death. Tomorrow we will bring your ashes home and they will stay there until they are allowed to fly into the waves and wind on Amrum. Where Kolja also flew off into freedom. Run free, my heart. You've only flown ahead before. I love you, I miss you. Your mum ♡ #love #grief #petloss #soulmate #seniordogs by @eclectic_smithy

My darlings, I miss you so, SO much ❤️ Kolja has been gone for three years and eight months now, and Pedro died eleven weeks ago. The first summer without you is over now, and the first autumn without you has just begun. So many people ask me when we’re getting a new dog, and that question tears me apart so much that I never really engage with it. While I view it as a loving compliment that people consider me a great dog mom, they don't consider that grief doesn't simply vanish or fade away. Life around us adapts to the grief 🌀 How could this pain, which reflects the infinite love I hold for my beloved animals, love that now has no recipient left in this world, ever diminish? And besides, not everyone wants to bring new animals into the family right away after the beloved animal died. It was the same when my horse and my cats passed away. Being the mom to my animals was (and is) the greatest gift of a lifetime for me. Furthermore, to me, an animal is a family member; it means taking responsibility for a living being for many years, or even decades in the best case. If I adopt an animal, I want to ensure it has the best life and do everything for a home full of love, peace, joy and safety. Given my health situation, if the universe intends to connect us with an animal, I will think twice - or even three times - bout whether we can truly meet all its needs. That is genuinely important, and I wish more people would put that sense of responsibility into practice. I miss you, beloved fur kids, so incredibly much. I love you, Mom. ♡ #grief #soulmates #seniordogs #iloveyouforever #theyrescuedme by @eclectic_smithy

My friend "Schöni" ♡ For years, he and his partner "Schönchen" would fly along while I went for walks with the dogs. When Kolja died in 2023, they actually went looking for him; since Pedro's death in June, our bond has grown even closer. My alarm clock? Their crowing, every morning. ♡ #ravens #crows #naturkind #photography #savethebirds by @eclectic_smithy
