Hi and hello! 👋🏻 It’s been a minute since I’ve introduced myself here: Back in 2020, I was caught in the pandemi wave of lay-offs. Honestly, I wasn't thrilled with my corporate life anyway. I was working in a male-dominated industry, forced to wear slacks, and stuck in a grey cubicle... surrounded by grey walls and grey floors. It was literally turning me grey, too. 🫠 I had earned my Bachelor's degree in Graphic & Web Design and was eagerly taking on freelance clients. This was the work I actually wanted to do: help others build a brand that would help them grow their business. So, when I got the call that I was being "let go," I wasn't devastated, I was hopeful! I dove headfirst into building and running my design business, Eclectic Designs. Since online businesses were booming in 2020, it kept me afloat for a while. I wish I could say it was smooth sailing from there, but my business journey was actually a roller coaster. I was constantly working, burning out beyond belief, and barely managing to pay my bills on time. I hired numerous coaches (who I really couldn't afford) hoping they had all the answers. Instead, in 2022, I had to swallow my pride and start looking for another design job. I found a part-time position with a company I morally aligned with, and I still work with them today while running my own business. 🌿 Now, 6 years later, I am genuinely living my dream life: in Florida, engaged, we bought our first house (which is everything we hoped for), traveling, experiencing life, and sitting in moments of pure gratitude for all the hard work it took to get here. I maintain a balanced schedule that prevents burnout, consistently book sustainable, high-ticket projects, and have the privilege of connecting with incredibly inspiring people through my business. 🥹💜 Today, I’m focused on helping my clients grow their business intentionally, without the overwhelm, the burnout, or getting lost in the noise of our marketing-saturated world. There are events that inspire you, events that motivate you, and then there are events that change you. There is something truly unexplainable about putting yourself in a room full of people who not only "get it", but who also have the words, insights, connections, and ideas you’ve been searching for. Every speaker who stepped onto that stage and every woman who attended was meant to be in that room. @inevitablelive is one of those experiences that has changed me in many ways. I’m still in awe of the energy of this event, the incredible women I had the opportunity to meet, and the messages that will stay with me for years to come as I continue on my own journey of growth. A few key takeaways I’m carrying with me: 1. You are never in this alone. Every client, connection, and conversation creates a larger community, even if you don’t see or speak to those people every day. 2. Your big ideas are possible. If you can already envision them, you are already on your way toward making them a reality. 3. Your wellbeing and your business growth must grow together, especially when you are scaling. Take time to sit in your wins before rushing to the next milestone. 4. You are the magic in everything you do. 5. You have permission to pivot, evolve, and change whenever you need to. I sat down with Ana Lilia (@_ana_lilia ) to talk about the soul behind Inevitable Live, and this conversation captures exactly why I’m creating this event differently. There is no gatekeeping here. I don’t want you coming to Inevitable Live, taking a bunch of notes, having a few fresh perspectives, getting inspired for 48 hours, and then going home with nothing actually changed.
