Mali Sheard (@mali_sheard.music) graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and an alumna of Tomorrow's Warriors, is one of the UK's most exciting emerging jazz saxophonists, quickly establishing herself as a distinctive new voice on the contemporary scene.

Earlier this month we caught up with Mali to discuss discovering her compositional voice, the friendships behind the music, and why this debut feels like the beginning of the exciting journey ahead.

Meet Monster no.4: the Minotaur. Trapped in the labyrinth, waiting in the dark and somehow the easiest of the lot to feel sorry for. Here's how he became a tune. We open the Here, There be Monsters Exhibition Show next Friday and then tour the UK. Get your tickets via the link in my bio.
