As we reflect on Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026, we want to say a heartfelt thank you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the week. Whether you shared your experiences, memories or photographs, offered words of kindness to someone else, or quietly followed along, we are grateful you were here. This year's theme, Together, we care, has been reflected in the compassion, understanding and support you have shown one another.

We know that this week can bring many different emotions, and we hope that somewhere amongst the conversations and shared experiences, there were moments of connection and understanding.

We also want to extend our thanks to the more than 100 organisations that make up the Baby Loss Awareness Alliance, whose work continues throughout the year to raise awareness and improve care and support for everyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss.

Although the week has ended, our commitment to raising awareness, listening to your experiences, and ensuring the voices of those affected by ectopic pregnancy are heard continues every day.

Thank you for being part of our community. 💜

đŸ’™đŸ©· Baby Loss Awareness Week has lit up Piccadilly Lights!

Tonight, one of London’s most iconic landmarks joined the Wave of Light, illuminating the heart of the capital in a beautiful show of support for everyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss.

Seeing Baby Loss Awareness Week recognised on such an incredible scale is a very special moment. For bereaved parents and families, it’s a powerful reminder that their babies are remembered and that they are not alone.

We’re incredibly proud to bring this special moment to life, working alongside the charities and organisations supporting Baby Loss Awareness Week to shine a light on pregnancy and baby loss and ensure that every baby’s life is recognised and remembered.

A very special thank you to bereaved mum Jessica, who first approached @piccadillylights with the idea and connected us with the team to help make this incredible moment possible đŸ’™đŸ©·

This is our 2026 EPT candle, shining brightly tonight as we join the Wave of Light.

At 7pm, candles are being lit across the world, each one carrying its own meaning, its own memories and its own story. Ours is shining for everyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss. For the pregnancies we remember, the futures we imagined, the people we carry with us and the experiences that have shaped our lives.

It shines for those whose experiences are recent and those who have carried their memories for many years, and it shines with gratitude for this extraordinary community, for the kindness, compassion and understanding you continue to show one another.

If you are joining the Wave of Light tonight, we would love to see your candles in the comments, or hear who you are remembering.

Together, we care. Tonight, we remember. 💜

Yesterday, we asked our community how they remember their ectopic pregnancies. Today, we’re sharing some of your responses, with thanks to everyone who shared something so personal with us.

There are many ways to remember, from something others can see to a quiet moment that belongs only to you.

If you would like to, we’d love to hear how you remember your ectopic pregnancy in the comments. We’re thinking of you and your pregnancies as we come together for tonight’s Wave of Light.

For some, there are weeks to imagine a life together. For others, it happens in the brief moment between being told they are pregnant and learning it is an ectopic pregnancy.

A whole future can take shape in that time, whether quietly over days or all at once. Others may still have been processing the pregnancy news, feeling uncertain, or not yet knowing what they hoped for.

An ectopic pregnancy can bring loss and complex feelings into any of those experiences. The time you knew, and how you felt when you found out, do not determine how you should feel now.

This Baby Loss Awareness Week, we’re thinking of you, whether you’re remembering a future you had imagined or finding words for an experience you’re still trying to understand.

Today, we hope you can find a little moment to do something just for you.

A cup of tea enjoyed in peace, a breath of fresh air, a chapter of your favourite book, or a chat with someone whose company feels comforting.

With everything this week may bring, we hope there is a little comfort in your day too. We’re thinking of you, and sending warmth your way.

The Wave of Light takes place on 15 October, the final day of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

At 7pm, people around the world are invited to light a candle in remembrance of lives lost during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

As candles are lit at 7pm in each time zone, a wave of light travels around the world, creating a continuous symbol of love, remembrance and connection.

For some, it's a moment to remember their own loss. For others, it's a way to honour someone they love or show support to those affected.

There is no right or wrong way to take part. Just a candle, a quiet moment, and the knowledge that somewhere, someone else is remembering too.

Baby Loss Awareness Week can bring comfort and connection, but it can also bring feelings you weren’t expecting.

If you need to close the app, mute a few accounts, or take a break from this week’s content, it’s okay to do that. You can choose what feels right for you, and change your mind along the way.

Stepping away doesn’t change the love you carry or the significance of your experience.

We’re thinking of you, whether you’re here with us or taking some space.
