POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
My son is turning FOUR! 🎉

A couple of years ago, before he turned two, we took a trip to Houston. Just the two of us. It was my first time traveling alone with one of my children, and we had a great adventure together.

I meant to make this reel back then, but I’m finally putting it together as we get ready to celebrate his fourth birthday.

Here’s a look back at our father-son adventure in Houston. Love you, son!

Thank you @southwestair for making his first flight memorable. by @ed_jones2

It’s ONLY because I don’t have space for the hot tub in the backyard for it.

Recently, I stepped into a new role as Director of Business Development with @premier.relo as the company expands its presence in the United States.

The role is new. The development isn’t.

For most of my career, my work has centered around developing people, building relationships, and improving the athlete experience. Now, I get to bring that same approach into athlete relocation.

I’ll be helping grow @premier.relo.usa U.S. sports relocation efforts, supporting athletes, families, coaches, staff, executives, teams, and agencies through moves and major transitions.

Full household moves. Transportation. Athlete and family relocation. Staff relocation. Sports mobility.

And for those outside of sports, I’m also helping build corporate relocation relationships and support organizations with employee and executive moves.

Different lane. Same commitment to people, relationships, service, and excellence.

If you’re an agent, team executive, player engagement professional, coach, corporate leader, HR professional, or someone who supports people through relocation, I’d love to connect.

Celebrate the wins.

After we won the 2021 Big 12 Championship, I was one of the last people left in the locker room.

The trophy was sitting there.

I remember thinking, “I’ll take my pictures later when we get back to the facility.”

Then I told myself - TAKE THE PIC NOW

No. Take them now. Enjoy this moment.

So I did.

I smiled.
I held the trophy.
I celebrated the win.

At the time, I had no idea I was capturing more than a picture.

I was capturing a moment I would never get back.

I didn’t know it would be:

* My last time being part of a college football team.
* My last time on the field after a college football game.
* My last time holding a Big 12 Championship trophy.

None of us know when we’re experiencing a “last.”

That’s why I’ve become intentional about celebrating the wins.

Not just the championships.

The small victories.
The relationships.
The locker rooms.
The long days.
The people.
The access.
The journey.

Too often we’re so focused on what’s next that we miss what’s happening right now.

So here’s your reminder today: Celebrate your wins.

Whether you’re in athletics, business, education, or anywhere else, don’t rush past the moments you’ve worked so hard to earn.

Because one day you’ll look back and realize they weren’t ordinary moments, they were unforgettable ones. by @ed_jones2

Thank you.

Those were the only words I could get out as I was handed a personalized Pistons jersey.

I had a speech ready.

I wanted to thank everyone who made the 2026 Player Development Summit possible.

But when I looked out and saw more than 155 people gathered in one room, I got emotional.

All I could say was:

Thank you.

The truth is, building @btf_program hasn’t been easy.

Building the Player Development Summit over the last four years has been one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve ever done.

There have been lonely days.

Days filled with doubt.

Days where I wondered if I should keep going.

As builders, we carry things that most people never see.

The long nights.

The sacrifices.

The setbacks.

The uncertainty.

But one thing I’ve learned is this.

Every time I felt like giving up, someone showed up for me.

A volunteer.

A speaker.

A sponsor.

A mentor.

A friend.

Someone who reminded me that this mission is bigger than me.

No one knows everything that goes into creating an event like this.

They don’t see every obstacle.

They don’t have to.

They simply choose to believe in the vision.

Standing on that stage and looking out at every seat filled, I realized something.

People believe in Beyond The Field.

People believe in the mission of developing people and elevating programs.

That moment meant more to me than I can put into words.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, spoke, sponsored, partnered with us, or encouraged me along the way, thank you for showing up.

I’ll never take it for granted.
