Back when I was deep in the Tony Rice shed! It can be frustrating to look back at old practice videos and see how much hasn’t stuck long term, but it’s all part of the process…. at least that’s what I tell myself 😭

Jazz has room in it for everything! Do you know any other jazz trios with repertoire like this?? We play Old Time, Bluegrass, Swedish polskas, Celtic music, country songs, Ellington, and Bach… and we make it all sound like jazz.
Come hear what you’ve been missing this Monday 10/19 @rudysjazzroom !

I know now that there are a few people playing Irish music on sax @tiarnan_kellegher 👀
Very curious what you guys are doing for your rolls. Also any Bulgarian/Balkan saxophonists… I know there’s a similar ornament in that music and you guys are crushing! by @eddiebarbash
