The journey begins. 🇺🇸✈️

Today, we head to the US as the Hudd Traxx US & Canada tour officially gets underway.

After months of planning, countless calls, emails, and teamwork behind the scenes, we’re finally here.

A huge thank you to the entire Hudd Traxx team for the dedication and hard work that made this tour possible. Thank you also to every promoter, venue, and everyone involved for believing in what we do and helping deliver our parties to Dancefloor’s worldwide.

This weekend we kick things off in New York and Washington DC, before heading across to Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Vancouver plus more over the coming weeks.

Now for the fun part, the music, the dancefloor and the people.

Let’s make some memories.

See you soon.

Sydney blew my mind. Big thanks to everyone @sashsundays & @startcue It was great to hang out with some UK crew on Australia day 😅 and then go at it again on Sunday.

After been on the road for 7 weeks this gave me the energy to carry on and extend the tour. Huge thanks to @mrcarlogambino for the hospitality also.

Can't wait to come back ❤️

| The Sampling Revolution

A few seconds of sound could change everything.

Before sampling became a standard part of music production, DJs were already listening to records differently. Finding a drum break, a vocal or a musical phrase that could keep a dancefloor moving, then finding new ways to extend, repeat and transform it.

As sampling technology became more accessible during the 1980s, producers gained a new tool.

Capture it. Chop it. Rebuild it.

Sounds from the past could now become part of something completely new. A fragment of a record could be transformed into a rhythm, a hook or the foundation of an entirely new track.

The studio became an instrument..!!

For house music, sampling opened up another world of possibilities. Producers could look back to disco, soul, funk and beyond, taking inspiration from the music that came before and pushing it somewhere new.

That’s the beauty of the sampling revolution.

The past became the future.

House is a feeling…

| Traxx from the Vault - 013

This week’s Vault brings together some serious underground business.

Featuring, Accatone, ManooZ, Chez Damier, Eddie Leader & Tomson. Five names, all about the music..

Have a great Halloween wherever you’re celebrating. Keep it underground, play it loud and, above all, play good house music.

Happy Halloween.

① DEMO TIPS #1

Thanks to everyone who’s been sending demos over.

Listening through them has given me a few ideas for some tips that might help artists when submitting music to labels.

These aren’t just for Hudd Traxx, but hopefully useful when sending demos to any label.

Big love to everyone who’s sent music our way recently.

We’ve been digging through the demos and there’s some serious heat coming through.

Fresh talent. Original sounds. The next generation is definitely out there, and we’re listening.

We’re deep in it right now. The next move is ours.

Hold tight…

2027. Coming in hot.

A special mention to one of our unsung heroes @kon_bi we appreciate you.

BACK CAT 001 – Slum Science – This Is My House – Deep Future Recordings (2003)

Introducing BACK CAT, a new series digging into my back catalogue, revisiting some of my earliest releases and sharing the musical journey that’s brought me to where I am today.

Kicking things off with my first record back in 2003, a collaboration with my good friends Rucky and Danny White as @slum_science , released on Deep Future Recordings.

23 years later and still making music, so I thought it would be good to revisit some of these old records and share a bit of the history along the way.

Extra points if you can name the main sample and the vocal 👀
