This interview was something special. It’s got a press meaning and a reason to be, yet at the same time feels like a dream. Andrew and I chatted about his new album, A Light That Guides Weary Travelers Home, how it was born, what the sounds represent, what the project means to him. But beyond the interview itself, I met a lovely soul, someone whose passion for music shines so bright, and someone who enjoys music as art, strictly as art. There aren’t many of those out there.
A brilliant album coming from a brilliant artist, and an interview I’m so proud to have conducted. That hour we talked felt like if we’d known each other before and we were just catching up. My favourite kind of interviews.

Esta entrevista fue especial. Tiene un propósito profesional y una razón de ser, pero al mismo tiempo se siente como un sueño. Andrew y yo conversamos sobre su nuevo álbum, A Light That Guides Weary Travelers Home, cómo surgió, qué representan sus sonidos y qué significa el proyecto para él. Pero más allá de la entrevista en sí, conocí a un ser maravilloso; alguien cuya pasión por la música brilla con fuerza, y alguien que la disfruta como arte, pura y exclusivamente como arte. No abundan personas así.
Un álbum brillante de un artista brillante, y una entrevista de la que me siento muy orgulloso. La hora que pasamos hablando se sintió como si ya nos conociéramos y simplemente estuviéramos poniéndonos al día. Es el tipo de entrevistas que más disfruto. Amity 086, a 2-hour A&B special.
Just before the @aboveandbeyond show last month, I managed to squeeze two hours of what, to me, is their best catalogue. Not necessarily using their greatest hits ever (mind you there’s no Sun & Moon, no Thing Called Love, no Satellite, no Blue Sky Action). I dug quite deep into the archives of the Internet to pull rare, unreleased, CD exclusive and whatnot, remixes, originals, and reworks regarding Tony, Jono, and Paavo. Special thanks to @uknyheim and @larstheblizzard for helping me get my hands on possibly one of the best The Blizzard works there is, their remix of ‘Mariana Trench’.
See you tonight for Episode 90 of @amitymusic_ , not nearly as special to me as this past set, but still a very, very fun time regardless.

Amity 086, un especial de dos horas de A&B.
Justo antes del show de @aboveandbeyond el mes pasado, logré grabar dos horas de lo que, para mí, es lo mejor de su catálogo. No necesariamente usando sus mayores éxitos de la historia (no hay Sun & Moon, no hay Thing Called Love, no Satellite, no Blue Sky Action). Indagué bastante en los archivos del Internet para recopilar raros, inéditos, exclusivos de CD y demás, remixes, originales y reworks de Tony, Jono y Paavo. Un agradecimiento especial a @uknyheim y @larstheblizzard por ayudarme a hacerme con posiblemente una de las mejores obras de The Blizzard que hay, su remix de ‘Mariana Trench’.
Nos vemos esta noche para el episodio 90 de @amitymusic_ , no tan especial para mí como este último set, pero sigue siendo una hora muy buena de todos modos.

21 días juntos. Más que nunca.
Mismo calibre de experiencias. Misma intensidad de abrazos de reencuentro.
Mismas sonrisas, mismas risas, mismas emociones.
Nuevas experiencias con nuevos amigos, viejas experiencias con nuevos amigos, nuevas experiencias con viejos amigos y viejas experiencias con viejos amigos.
Entre más veces voy más me doy cuenta que no hay forma de hacer estos pies de post lo suficientemente largos para describirte. Me rindo.

Would you believe it? As much as I’m a musician myself, I’m also a devoted fan. And if weren’t for @aboveandbeyond who knows how my life would look like. But discarding any parallel universes, my life looks like this: lover of Argentina, my soul eternally lost in Buenos Aires, and taking every chance I can to see Above & Beyond reconnect me with those friends who have shaped my life. Literally all of them I met thanks to music.

This we lived on Saturday. In my fave city. These are some highlights x

ATOP 03 is out now. Check the link in my bio to watch it. It’s a special feeling to be able to make a dream come true. For this third instalment, I travel to the top of the Barolo palace in Buenos Aires, a place that’s not only full of over a century of tales and history, but also the exact place where the ATOP concept was born, on a warm summer evening of 2020. Surreal to have been able to fulfil this dream of mine, and share it with you all.

ATOP 03, from the legendary Palacio Barolo. Out this Friday. 🇦🇷
If there’s one thing that this episode taught me, is that I’m never not enough. Never again. When you wish hard enough, things eventually get to you. I’d been dreaming for years of playing a set at such a gorgeous place as the Barolo Palace, a boutique, historic landmark in Buenos Aires built in the 1920s, a place painted in history, but I always turned myself down thinking I wasn’t enough to do it. This evidence right here would like to disagree. Full circle moment, the ATOP concept was born right there, between G&Ts and romantic night skies, in January 20th, 2020, mere metres from where I’d end up fulfilling this crazy dream of mine.

Si hay algo que este episodio me enseñó, es que nunca no soy suficiente. Nunca más. Cuando deseas lo suficiente, las cosas llegan. Durante años había estado soñando con tocar un set en un lugar tan hermoso como el Palacio Barolo, un monumento histórico, icono de Buenos Aires, construido en la década de 1920, un lugar con incontables historias que contar, pero siempre me desanimaba diciéndome que no era suficiente para hacerlo. La evidencia aquí presentada difiere. Poniéndolo en perspectiva, el concepto ATOP nació allí mismo, entre gin and tonics y cielos estrellados, el 20 de enero de 2020, a solo unos metros de donde terminaría cumpliendo este loco sueño mío.

This was Amity 083.
I went full-on Aloft organic mode this time, marking a strong contrast against sets like 081 (powerful trance) and 073 (party-like progressive). Listen to tunes from @guyjdiary @spencerbrownofficial @evegrem.dj @molacmusic @wassumusic @maze28.music @paularcane as well as an edit I made in 2024 for Mar del Plata, and one of my latest Ambient songs. Esta vez volví completo en modo Aloft orgánico, marcando un fuerte contraste con sets como el 081 (trance pesado) o el 073 (progre fiestero). Con música de @guyjdiary @evegrem.dj @spencerbrownofficial @molacmusic @wassumusic @maze28.music @paularcane , un edit especial que hice en 2024 para Mar del Plata, y una de mis últimas canciones de Ambient. This was Amity 081.
Full on Trance mode, last fortnight I played something quite interesting, starting already at 138 BPM. I went all the way up to 142, revisiting some beautiful Anjunabeats classics, and steering the ship towards something a bit darker towards the end. You shan’t miss it. I had so much fun recording this that I got a complaint that I was making too much noise in my room. So there you go, that’s a good indicator.
Stick around for tonight as I’ll be playing the polar opposite of that in the form of an Aloft set that is heavily leaning towards organic. We never decide.

Full modo Trance, la quincena pasada toqué algo bastante interesante, comenzando ya a 138 BPM. Subí hasta 142, revisando algunos hermosos clásicos de Anjunabeats y manejando hacia algo un poco más oscuro hacia el final. Lo pasé tan bien grabando esto que recibi quejas de que estaba haciendo demasiado ruido. Así que ahí lo tienes, eso es un buen indicador.
No se vayan, ya que tocaré lo opuesto a eso en forma de un conjunto Aloft que se inclina fuertemente hacia lo orgánico, esta noche. Nunca nos decidimos. by @eddythron

Surprise! 🙂‍↕️
My first release of the year (finally, I know) comes from the hand of @simwou and his excellent track ‘Incognito’. Had a ton of fun reimagining his chill original into a bit of a peak-time dancefloor heater, always staying grounded to those organic groovy percussions I try to stamp as my seal of approval.
Thank you so much to @soundavenuelabel and @madlochmusic for reaching out. It’s always a pleasure to work with these guys, they’re respectful, and they look past metrics to allow good music to shine. ❤️

Mi primer lanzamiento del año (finalmente, lo sé) viene de la mano de @simwou y su excelente canción ‘Incognito’. Me divertí mucho reimaginando su chill original en un poco de calentador de pista de baile en hora punta, siempre manteniéndome conectado a tierra a esas percusiones orgánicas geniales que trato de estampar como mi sello de aprobación.

Muchas gracias a @soundavenuelabel y @madlochmusic por contactarme. Siempre es un placer trabajar con estos chicos, son respetuosos y miran más allá de las métricas para permitir que la buena música brille. ❤️

A trip through the old, the new, the new-sounding old and the old-sounding new. Progressive Trance and Trance packed into an hour of flight. Hope you like it. It contains songs from @p.o.s.music @nicholasgunnmusic @michaelalan89 @oliversmith & more, and it really feels like a hug to one part of me that, perhaps, I’ve left a bit behind lately. Hope you dig it as a much as I enjoyed playing it myself. Link in bio, stories.

Seb Léger, arguably the greatest name in Organic music. @sebastien_leger
Seb is an artist I’ve looked up to ever since discovering him through Tony McGuinness’ deep sets in Lockdown. He was also one of my referents when creating Aloft, in case you’d want to know.
30+ years deep into the music business, there’s one thing about Seb that I really admire: he stays true to his feels every single time. He is not looking to make the next TikTok hit, or to play a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. He’s instead making music to express himself, and while knowing that his fanbase truly values and respects him for that very reason. If that’s not peace of mind, I don’t know what is.

Seb Léger, posiblemente el nombre más importante del Organic. @sebastien_leger
Seb es un artista al que he admirado desde que lo descubrí a través de los Deep sets de Tony McGuinness. También fue uno de mis referentes al crear Aloft, en caso de que quieran saberlo.
Con más de 30 años en el rubro de la música, hay una cosa sobre Seb que aplaudo con ganas: se mantiene fiel a sus sonidos y sentimientos. No está buscando crear el próximo éxito de TikTok, o fechar una residencia en la Sphere de Las Vegas. En cambio, está haciendo música para expresarse, y sabiendo que sus fans lo valoran y respetan por esa misma razón. Si eso no es paz mental, no sé qué es.
