This is long overdue, and I’m grateful to be able to put it all out there!!

My 3am brain couldn’t stop making these up this morning. What am I missing?!

Week 4 of having a newborn and every day I’m still meeting different parts of him, and myself.

The little things are bigger than ever before. Sometimes that’s jarring, sometimes that’s the beauty. Mostly it’s mindset, I’m finding.

And the reminder that I don’t have to have anything figured out right now is medicine. One moment at a time, letting the cuteness nourish me 🥲

Soon it’ll be last sleep, last meal, last pee, last blink!! This sh*t is crazy.

Baby still pending, and this is how your check-in text finds me 😅

These 9 months have been nothing like I had imagined or even planned.

And trusting myself to stay in the flow is integral to my own mental health.

Some days that looks like passing time with the coping strategies that support me. Most days now, it feels more like just passing time.

And from the outside in, it looks like nothing. To me, this means I’m ready.

Or, as ready as I’ve ever been.

No longer stuck on prioritizing myself and my dreams, I’m making space for the liminal. The unknown. The question marks, wonderings, and what-ifs.

I relish in these spaces, just as I relish in my sweet tooth and how project runway reminds me of dad and how fucking hot it is yet the slowing down and noticing feels so damn good.

The sacrifice, the recalibrating, the cellular shifts are on their way.

I recognize I actually cannot fully prepare, but I can prepare and then let go.

Prepare and let go.

He will be here soon.

Until then, I’ll be navigating the TJ’s parking lot and treating myself to another iced coffee and napping at 11am and groaning whenever I stand up.
