Entering the @circa.art draw for @aiww tree print. I'm not expecting to win but thought I would like to share some #FavouriteFuckingTree images.
The 1950's municipal stunning Willow given extra beauty with the rose ring beneath.
A dead sentinel amidst tidal flats, crunch of bleached crab shells underfoot.
The glorious cherry near my mum's, quietly, gracefully glowing, weighed down with spring blossom, year on year.
Pollarded London plane, surreal, deformed, curtailed sculptured form against the sky. I love it but it also knots my stomach. by @edens_clay

Tinos for the Zoodochos Pigi, the Water of Life. A found icon of the annunciation, now almost hidden under jewels. The original site where it was dug is beneath the church of Panagia Evangelistria and the well which emerged following its release is alongside the baptistries.
My favourite church in Kato Klisma, amazing naïve paintings, the spring with washroom, an archaic head, and 'found' keys, bread stamp and Carob. The countryside was intoxicating, doves, figs, grapes, and romantic crumbling rugged bounty.

Ecstatic day. The Temple of Artemis in Brauron. Goddess of nature, life and fertility. The protector of marriage, women, family life, labour and the upbringing of children. The arkteia initiation was related to this. During the ritual the arktoi (bears), girls from renowned families of Athens, stayed in the sanctuary in order to be prepared for marriage and motherhood. The ritual included animal sacrifices, votive offering, sacred dance and rhapsody competitions!

Giving Bread, Greece.
Greek altar bread, prosphora, means an offering to God. Each loaf is stamped with a seal that includes a cross and the letters IC-XC NIKA, meaning “Jesus Christ conquers”. Antidoron (meaning “instead of the gifts”) are the remaining bread given to the faithful after Holy Communion. The Orthodox Liturgical Spear and Spoon are used in the preparation and serving of the communion.

Dripping purple red stained hands, Mulberry picking for Keats ice-cream. One of the fruit trees in the grounds of Wentworth House, the 17th century Black Mulberry tree may have been part of an orchard which John Keats would have known when he lived in Hampstead December 1818 until August 1820 writing his Odes and Endymion:

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.

My response poem to Luke Davis @laughing_foxe

Ten years compelled to sit beside the Thames, a river of people streaming by, the Tate's broad canvas looming high, the poets fish for words.

Will Shakespeare's Globe a sighing O to verse of love and longing.

Thank you Luke for my fabulous birthday poem and William Blake chat! taken in Shakespeare's Globe by @edens_clay
