✨ OUR LADY OF TINOS ISLAND, CYCLADIC GREECE ✨

The miraculous icon of Tinos, known as Panagia Evangelistria or Megalochar, which according to tradition, was found after the Virgin Mother appeared to the nun, Pelagia in 1822.

In 1823, the icon was revealed then henceforth OUR LADY OF TINOS was declared the patron saint of the Greek nation.

This magnificent religious complex on Tinos is home to the icon which every year, over 30,000 pilgrims descend upon this tiny Cycladic Island to see an apparition of the Virgin Mary in the bell tower.

You are invited to the Dream Mysteries of Elefsina and Isis this September

From 16th–25th September 2026, during the powerful portal of the Autumn Equinox, we gather in Ancient Epidavros for a 10-night immersive retreat exploring living myth, real inner alchemy, ceremony, dreams, divine inspiration, and sacred pilgrimage.

This retreat takes place at the same time that the ancient Greater Mysteries of Elefsina were celebrated, and we shall be following the rhythms of the Moon, the Equinox, and the timing of the ancient annual journey towards the Sanctuary of Demeter and Kore at Elefsis. The experience will be completed in Demeter’s Telesterion (the structure where the final rites took place in antiquity).

Lee Gerrard-Barlow will be bringing the Pythagorean ceremonial tradition to this year's retreat and together with Jokasta Mousiou, they will be offering ritual work and experiential practices within a wider exploration of dreams, myth, embodiment, and divine contact, as we journey together into the heart of the Elefsinian Mysteries. We shall also be joined by our local Asklepiade and Iatromantis - Eleftherios Makridopoulos - who studies the ancient arts of the 'root-cutter' and has an alchemical laboratory and herbal medicine centre next to the ancient Asklepion in Epidavros, the most significant healing sanctuary of the Hellenic world.

Leading our Mystery Play will be the wonderful Rosanna Lowe - theatre director, playwright, actress, and coach - who will bring her creativity and storytelling gifts to our journey. As our koryphaia, Rosanna acts as a channel for the divine katharsis of Dionysos, and in enacting our Mystery play - we walk with the mystai of old. Absolutely no acting or performing experience is required, and participation is always optional.

A special collaborative performance with musician and artist Tasos Stamou, along with some other surprise guests who are well versed in the Mysteries, and experiences that will only be revealed in Greece.

We will make our way along the ancient pathways of the mystai and enter into the living reality of Demeter’s mysteries, of Kore (Persephone), and of Isis and Serapis.

Dream up and taste the kykeon.

Dream Mysteries Dream Museum Tour and Experimental Dream Archaeology Project

As part of July's Dream Museum tour I will be inviting participants to collaborate on an experimental Dream Archaeology project. Working with a new finding from the Taş Tepeler site of Karahantepe, we shall experiment with using dreaming as a novel, intuitive research method. I will publish our dream findings, including essays, sketches, films, photos, dream poems, songs, pottery, dances, and anything else you feel drawn to.

The object(s) will be revealed at the British Museum on 7th of July and guests will have one month to work with the material before I begin putting it together for publication.
