The framework of the most renown track and field and cross country programs always trace back to the coaching mainstays tasked with guiding endless rosters to the single mindset of teamwork.

Ed Eyestone has understood this organizational mantra, helping transform BYU into a powerhouse that is a beacon for incoming freshman while upperclassmen leave decorated with conference titles and the essence of national championship experience.

Big congratulations to Dan Michalski and Kenneth Rooks who won gold and bronze at the NACAC meet today. Kenneth was the pacer this year and Dan finished in 8:14.07 to secure a spot along with Kenneth to the upcoming World Track and Field Championships. Dan’s 4 second PR was made all the more impressive as it was run in the 85 degrees and 75 percent humidity of the Grand Bahamas. Good job boys! On to Tokyo!!! by @edeyestone
