Happy New Year! This is your sign to follow your dreams this year. I'm a self taught artist and slowly I'm seeing my art evolve 🫶🏽

Lately, I've been trying my best not to overwork my paintings, but it seems to go against every fiber in my being to stop blending. Here is the process of painting the shirt.

I’m so excited to share this meaningful new addition to my office! 🎨

When I asked Edith to create a custom piece for Graceful Mind Therapy, I gave her feelings more than an image: grounded presence, reflection, resilience, healing, peace, hope.

During our consultation, I also shared that many of the women I work with feel like different reflections or versions of myself. Edith took those ideas and translated them into something visual and deeply meaningful.

I see it in the mountains that echo one another while remaining distinct, the two groups of birds mirroring each other across the sky, and even the wildflowers, which remind me of many individuals rooted in the same landscape.

I especially love the sky. It holds brightness, beauty, uncertainty, and shadow simultaneously. It feels layered and emotionally honest, much like healing itself. To me, it suggests that healing means having the capacity to hold all of these experiences, including the darker ones. The deer adds a sense of resilience, quiet watchfulness, and perspective as it stands apart and takes in the larger landscape.

The piece feels restorative, quietly hopeful, and grounded. Somehow, Edith captured what I had envisioned even better than I could have explained it myself. She was thoughtful, collaborative, and listened carefully to what I wanted the piece to hold while bringing her own creative vision to it. The painting feels both personal and completely at home in this space.

Thank you, @edithcreatesart for creating something so meaningful for Graceful Mind Therapy. I am deeply touched. 🥹 If you’re looking for an artist who can translate a story or feeling into a custom piece, I highly recommend her. 🤍

A special commission made for a very dear friend 🤍

Inspired by Psalm 119:105

“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”

So grateful to create something meaningful that carries a reminder of His guidance, light, and presence. ✨

✨ SOLD ✨

Another commissioned piece, created with so much love for a dear friend. ❤️

My hope was that this painting would convey this truth: you are God's beloved. You are deeply treasured, intentionally created, and crowned with His love.

The rich gold and royal purple were chosen to reflect the royalty we carry as His children, while the bird symbolizes the beautiful freedom we have in Christ, to be fully, joyfully, and authentically who He created us to be.

Art has a way of speaking when words fall short, and it's an honor to create pieces that carry hope, truth, and personal meaning.

If you've been dreaming of a painting that tells your story or celebrates someone you love, my commission form is waiting for you in the link in my bio. ✨🤍

I grew up in Las Vegas. Though I've planted roots in the South, a part of me will always belong to the desert.

There is a kind of beauty there, the way the mountains rise from the earth, the endless sky, the colors that only reveal themselves in the right light. It's a landscape that shaped me, and one I'll always carry with me.

I painted this piece during a season when I was longing for those familiar horizons.

Prints are now available at www.joyfulvirtue.com ✨

A little reminder for anyone who needs it today 🤍

Start before you're ready.
Create before you're certain.
Trust yourself enough to keep going.

This is your sign to stop waiting for perfect and let yourself make something beautifully imperfect today. ✨

What's something you've been putting off because you don't know how it'll turn out? 💛

Here's your reminder that every finished painting starts out looking a little questionable. New coffee cup painting in progress, trusting the layers. ☕🎨

Every painting has a story, but my favorite part is seeing where that story continues.

This piece resonated with a beautiful woman of faith, and hearing how she connected with it spiritually was worth more than I can put into words.

Thank you to every collector, supporter, and person who shares my art with others. Your encouragement makes this journey possible.

For those who have asked, prints, originals, and commission inquiries are always available through Joyful Virtue. The link is in my bio. 🤍

This is my third time showing my work, but this one has been the most fulfilling. 🫶🏽 None of it would’ve been possible without @jkcreativ, @renewed4him, @deefun2 and @freshartsorg!

Sharing space with my sister @lindsayqwrites felt like a dream realized. When we were younger, we used to talk about how our work overlaps, and never in a million years did I imagine it would turn into a gallery filled with pieces of our shared memories.

I feel deeply grateful to have been able to share my work, connect with so many beautiful souls, and tell my story. ❤️

This is just the beginning.
