POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m so excited to share this meaningful new addition to my office! 🎨

When I asked Edith to create a custom piece for Graceful Mind Therapy, I gave her feelings more than an image: grounded presence, reflection, resilience, healing, peace, hope.

During our consultation, I also shared that many of the women I work with feel like different reflections or versions of myself. Edith took those ideas and translated them into something visual and deeply meaningful.

I see it in the mountains that echo one another while remaining distinct, the two groups of birds mirroring each other across the sky, and even the wildflowers, which remind me of many individuals rooted in the same landscape.

I especially love the sky. It holds brightness, beauty, uncertainty, and shadow simultaneously. It feels layered and emotionally honest, much like healing itself. To me, it suggests that healing means having the capacity to hold all of these experiences, including the darker ones. The deer adds a sense of resilience, quiet watchfulness, and perspective as it stands apart and takes in the larger landscape.

The piece feels restorative, quietly hopeful, and grounded. Somehow, Edith captured what I had envisioned even better than I could have explained it myself. She was thoughtful, collaborative, and listened carefully to what I wanted the piece to hold while bringing her own creative vision to it. The painting feels both personal and completely at home in this space.

Thank you, @edithcreatesart for creating something so meaningful for Graceful Mind Therapy. I am deeply touched. 🥹 If you’re looking for an artist who can translate a story or feeling into a custom piece, I highly recommend her. 🤍

If you’re free this Saturday at 2pm, come watch @lindsayqwrites and @edithcreatesart display the creative gifts God placed in them.

Lindsay is even reading an excerpt from her book — swoon energy. 🔥

Can’t wait to see you there… just don’t bid on my Edith original painting or we’re gonna have problems 😆 (This is Jae and I’m not kidding!)

Step inside a living, breathing exhibition where art becomes more than something you view, it’s something you experience. We’re proud to introduce the featured exhibition artists shaping this powerful journey of memory, faith, and home:

🔴 Jakari Sherman
Creator of the exhibit, Jakari transforms the gallery into an immersive, resonant space where memory, voice, and imagination collide. Through a fabric structure, projected visuals, and layered sound, visitors are invited to explore “home” as something we carry, build, and rediscover. He will also be hosting performances and workshops throughout the residency.

🔴 Demi Navarro-Shih
Demi’s installation invites you inward, into a shared archive of personal reflections, home videos, and lived experience. Their work reimagines home as fluid and evolving, shaped by memory, connection, and the stories we hold.

🔴 Jerome Bailey Jr.
Presenting Mortar, Jerome builds on his powerful work rooted in the history of Freedmen’s Town. Using cotton, torn paper, and handwritten poetry, his work explores labor, faith, and the unseen forces that hold us together, reminding us that even what was once taken can become foundation.

🔴 Edith & Lindsay Quintanilla
With Pieces of Home, this collaborative duo explores freedom beyond history, as something deeply personal, evolving, and imagined. Their multidisciplinary work invites reflection on what it means to belong and become.

Home School: Writing Workshop with Lindsay Quintanilla

Powerful Recap❣️Still in awe of the energy inside that room. Women entrepreneurs from Houston and the Rio Grande Valley came together to plan their 2026 goals, build their business foundations, and step boldly into their next level. This workshop was inspiring, motivating, and transformational, a reminder that when women invest in themselves, everything shifts.

I’m incredibly proud of every woman who showed up with courage, clarity, and commitment. This was more than a workshop… it was the start of their comeback year.

To all the ladies that attended, thank you. Thank you believing in yourself and for believing in me and this movement! We are conquering 2026! LFG! 🔥

I attended an incredible business workshop today, hosted by @leadwithbalance.

I have a deep appreciation for people who are intentional about 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 over 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and show it in their 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, not just their words.

This phenomenal piece of art is a display of just that, and truly made me feel seen in a way I can’t explain.

The artist: @edithcreatesart

I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow, iA. But for now, take a look at this beauty. 🤩🤩🤩
