This is one of those projects that just came together at the right time.

Brad, the owner of this beautiful S650, originally reached out about ordering a set of 20” RC1s. He had an S650 on order and wanted to recreate a rendering we had done as our take on Ford’s Fox Body-inspired S650 FX package.

Around the same time, Steve Turner, @editorturner from @fordmusclemagazine, reached out about doing an article on the RC1 wheels which now featured Brads S650 - link in bio. The timing couldn’t have worked out better.

What started as two separate conversations turned into a great collaboration between Brad, Steve, and MFW. It’s always cool when an idea that started as a rendering makes its way into the real world, and even better when the right people come together to make it happen.

Really happy with how this one came together.

It was a great honor for the Mustang Owner’s Museum to induct me into its Hall of Fame for Mustang Journalism this past weekend. I was inducted by former Mustang Chief Engineer Art Hyde, and other inductees this year included Mustang Industry: Dave Pericak (Former chief engineer of the S197 and S550 Mustang and former Global Director of Ford Performance), Mustang Racing: Bob Tasca (Creator of the 428 Cobra Jet Mustang), Mustang Hobby: Bill Dillard (A founder of the Mustang Club of America). Welp! It’s now been 25 years that I have traveled to Indy (and Orlando for a few years) to attend the @myprishow. For at least 20 of those years, having a “PRI dinner” with @editorturner is a tradition that I really look forward to. Me and Bigg Steve got it done tonight at Kumas Corner; a cool spot on the outskirts of downtown that has become our place for continuing the tradition. As the years pass, any time spent with this dude is cherished. He’s my mentor, and, more importantly, he’s one of my best friends in our industry. Another great night. The tradition continues.
