My first listing almost never happened.

I was door knocking, walked up to a house that didn’t have a driveway, and for whatever reason, it made me uncomfortable. So I skipped it.

Then I caught myself.

Why was I letting fear make the decision for me?

I went back. I knocked on the door. And that house became my very first listing.

That experience taught me something I’ve carried with me throughout my entire career: fear will talk you out of opportunities if you let it.

Sometimes the biggest difference between where you are and where you want to be is simply going back and knocking on the door.

I share stories like this with our agents at Kaminsky Real Estate Group every week because I believe experience is only valuable if you pass it on. We learn from each other, challenge each other, and keep getting better.

So here’s my challenge: What’s the door you’ve been afraid to knock on?

Sometimes being ahead of the curve doesn’t go exactly how you planned. 😂

I was one of the first real estate agents to use drones to market homes. I thought the press would bring me a flood of new business.

It brought me plenty of attention. The listings, not so much.

Still one of my favorite stories from nearly 40 years in the business.
