Had the best time today as the featured guest artist at The Jazz Pocket! Such a warm, welcoming environment, with an incredible group of musicians. Thanks for making me feel so at home! Jazz is alive and well in Toledo! 🎸❤ taken in Toledo, Ohio by @edlevyguitar

Bebop Scale Bootcamp — 30-sec highlight.

Covered some really cool modern concepts over Jimi’s Little Wing — everyone played and sounded amazing!
Next up: Feb 17 — Triad Pairs in Real Playing.

Great seeing Chris again for a jam at his house! Chris was my guitar teacher at BGSU, and he sounded amazing on the Hammond B3 (as you’d expect!). Jim Seibold on drums and Scott Parnell on guitar for a set before heading off to teach.

We also brought up the infamous Thanksgiving at the Buzzelli home 😂 Chris took in three stranded students for Thanksgiving dinner. Little did he know all three of us were allergic to cats. To this day, it’s still unclear if he was trying to be hospitable or… kill us off! 🐈🐈 by @edlevyguitar

How lucky was I to be in the area during such a vibrant time for jazz in Toledo. That’s me hanging with two great jazz icons, Jimmy Cook and Leon Cook. They were artists in every sense of the word and great human beings as well. They are both truly missed. This was taken at a Rusty’s bash in Toledo. by @edlevyguitar

A beautiful memory from Paris, just before our set. Jon Hendricks is often in my thoughts, and I’m missing him. He was truly one of the kindest gentlemen around and a legendary music trailblazer. I’m grateful for all the years I had the opportunity to play with him. Happy heavenly birthday, Jon. ❤️🎶 taken in NYC by @edlevyguitar

Beautiful day for a concert in Washington Heights! ☀️ Had a blast performing with vocalist extraordinaire Gennady — terrific audience and a really fun afternoon of music.

It was also really nice chatting with people I met along the way. There’s such a wonderful sense of community up there.

Perfect NYC day combining two of my fav things: cycling and playing jazz. 🚲🎶

E-biked it to Bkln Hts! Beautiful ride, great neighborhood (for those keeping score… Apple Maps beat Google Maps on this one).

Had a wonderful time performing as a jazz duo with trombonist/vocalist Ric Becker. Always a joy making music with Ric, and seeing the audience connect with the songs.

They don’t make weather much better than this. Finished the day pedaling a classic Citi Bike home the old-fashioned way. 🚲 taken in Brooklyn Heights by @edlevyguitar

Great afternoon in Harlem today for a jazz duo concert with Ric Becker. A hot day uptown, but a really enjoyable afternoon. Swing, ballads, and Bird tunes. Nice sharing the music today with a wonderful crowd! taken in East Harlem by @edlevyguitar

Had a great jazz gig at NYPL in the Bronx today with Andrea on bass. People dug it. Had to rush off to teach right after, otherwise I would’ve stayed around Arthur Avenue—my mom always spoke fondly of the great food up there. taken in Belmont Library, NYPL by @edlevyguitar
