But Edmond & Alyssa didn’t start wealthy.

A few years ago, Edmond was working long days as an industrial engineer at Boeing, waking up at 5AM and grinding 10–12 hour shifts. Alyssa was working in healthcare after once living paycheck to paycheck.

Like many couples, they wanted a better future… but didn’t want to spend the next 30 years trading time for money.

So they started small.

They house hacked. Saved aggressively. Learned how to invest. And most importantly - they took action.

After joining Springboard, they began learning how to buy smarter, find opportunities, and use strategies like BRRRR + ADUs to accelerate wealth.

Less than two years ago, Alyssa and I bought this property in Seattle. Last fall we broke ground on two backyard units, and today they're fully finished, inspected, and move-in ready.

This is episode 5 of the Bondoc DADU series. From framing to rough-ins to final inspection, we just earned our Certificates of Occupancy.

The plan was always bigger than a build. It's about creating financial freedom and something lasting for the people we love while raising Noa.

7 properties. 9 years ago, zero.

Three things I wish someone told me at the start:

The first deal is supposed to be uncomfortable. I bought a house I didn't want to pay for alone and rented the rooms to roommates. One of them is now my wife.

Buy based on your goals, then back it up with research. The Midwest gave us cash flow. Edmonds and Seattle give us appreciation.

The tenant matters more than the rent. A good one is the best insurance policy.
